The Porsche setup is more of a true transaxle whereas the GM stuff is a heavily modified transmission with a bolt-on differential. I can imagine it wouldn't be trivial to fit them into the same space.

It's rare, but once in a while I'll see a 944 in one of the Pick N Pulls around here. Let me know if you need me to look out for anything.

This has been around for roughly a month, but it's anyone's guess how much of it is left.

That thing looks pretty intact....I always want the story on how some cars end up in the junk yard.

I might be able to run over there tomorrow and see what's left. It could be totally intact, or it could be stripped to the chassis. Who knows? It's going to be painfully cold this weekend but it's supposed to warm up a bit on the weekend of the 5th.

No promises, but I'll see what I can do.

There is a shop near me that always has some 944's sitting out front. At least they did when I drove past there daily. Not sure if they part any of them or are just 944 lovers.
Yeah that's my friend's husband. I'm copying his build in the Porsche. My friend Dan is doing the same thing but with a 5.3 in a beat Mustang. We're having a friendly duel of sorts.

Thanks bud, the trans should survive providing I don't do digs.
Awesome. That truck really makes me want to do my s10 with an LS. But also want to stuff my Terminator engine in it to really piss people off
