But in all honesty I'm sorry, that was such a fun car to drive that one time I visited and it doesn't look the same anymore. You did so much work with that hydraulic system (I don't think I remember you selling it!).

If I had the spare cash, I'd offer him $6,000 with out any of the aftermarket parts he has. Also don't need the engine stand he would throw in. Wife would kill me if I got another toy car though...

I'm willing to take it back if the other choice is part out or scrap, otherwise, I hope someone else takes it on.

If I could sell it for as much as the burnt down spyder, I'd jump on it. But it looks like it needs far too much to go down that hershey highway.

hans is cheap, he probably wouldnt buy it unless it was $3k or something. I dont mean cheap as in he doesnt want to pay, but hes in it to make a profit lol.

Yea. I'm at 3-4k for the car. The last one I bought with a blown engine was for $5k and that was years ago.

It's not on Craigslist any more. Here's hoping the next post isn't "parting out 3000GT Spyder".

Unfortunately, in the current state it is probably worth more as parts.

Doubt it. How many Spyders need those parts? Any cars in bad enough shape to need that stuff aren't any better off than the one we're talking about. Probably worse, actually.

I'd argue it's a lot easier to install a rebuilt engine in an otherwise intact car than it is to repair a smashed one that happens to have a working engine.
