BFG makes good tires. I have had BFGs on all my Jeeps. Currently running Micky Thompsons on the LJ though. The XJ still have BFG A/Ts on it. For the most part, since going on an Accord and not a performance car, you should be fine with most brands. You looking for all season, winter, performance, long tread life, quite ride, etc?

Not sure what is on the Volt, but probably the factory tires.

Her factory tires got horrible reviews. She doesn't treat it like a race car but in saying that, she isn't a great driver so she needs good tires to get her out of bad spots.

These are ultra high performance all season.

Get away from the "ultra high performance" if you want ones that are going to last, as well as ones to get her out of bad spots.

Most recently I had General Altimax RT43's and Falken Pro G4's and have nothing negative to say about either. I drove in snow with both and was able to navigate without too much hassle.

I kept General's on my vr4 for a while....good tires, but I have had way more luck out of other brands as well.

Any idea what the falken's cost you?

Regular price for my size (225/55/17) was $400 for the 4, but I caught a deal on eBay and got $100 off. Then I paid my buddy $50 to mount them.

If you are a Costco member they are going $70 off a set of 4 Bridgestones this month.
I have always heard good things about Continental ExtremeContact DW (summer tires) and you can usually get a set of 4 for around 500-600.
I had these on my 2011 mustang, I was a big fan, great grip and decent wear.

I had Generals on my Saturn before I sold it. Solid tire in the wet, dry, and snow. Think they were like $240-$300 for all 4 from tire rack.

Which Falken's did you go with? I just remembered that before the Pro G4's I have now that I have Sincera Sn211 or something along those lines.

Couldn’t find a thread I made for her accord but today when I went to the vet there was this 2 door, red accord…same wheels. We loved that car. As I walk around the front I see my dragon sticker still on the windshield. It was hers! Talked to the owner. Still same owner but her uncle was driving it. 120k miles on it now. Still looked good.

thats cool. i know itll never happen with the exploder (awd). he promptly pulled the engine out and swapped it into his 2wd exploder (that was lifted on slightly larger tires).

then a couple months later he rolled it. apparently he lived up the street from my bosses dad and he used to absolutely tear up and down the road after he put my motor in.

Used to see my old wrangler on occasion in oregon. That's about it. The red cherokee is in Cali somewhere, the green one is in Wisconsin, my f250 and outback are over near Spokane somewhere, my first truck is in Ireland, etc.
