Oh. I'll let it slide ... once. :p

It should show up today or tomorrow ... I'm hoping for today. :D
I'm simply following Forum rules.

You ended up getting the HP right? If you have any problems with it let me know. I used to work with the group that replaced those as part of a no-lemon thing.

I also know personally people from the group that create Service Orders for Case Managers.

It's all part of the works of working in the city with HP's main site.
True. :p

Thanks man - to re-iterate, what do you reccomend doing when I get it? Whipe it clean and reload right away, or was there something I should do first?
Well if you reload it using the restore disks, it's just going to put the crap back on. You'll need to find a retail copy, though there is only a slight chance that your OEM key would work to activate it.

Not always. My Dell OS reinstall CDs have no bloat-ware. That's on a seperate CD. :p

On HP's, they always do. It recreates an image of the factory install.
Wait so what should I do? Sorry you lost me. So if my backup CDs have the bloatware, why did I buy them?
I'm sorry there buddy. I had no idea you were going to buy them. When you get your notebook there is a folder in the start menu called PC tools & recovery that you can burn those DVD's from.

I thought I remembered us having a conversation about making sure you had DVD's to burn them when you got it.
Oh I was left with the impression that I was supposed to buy them so I could burn copies of them or something. I dunno, I didn't ask why. :(
