There are plenty of good cars out there for $1000. I just picked up a 97 base model that needs some cosmetic work for $660

We took a drive in this one. Seemed OK. The brakes were a bit weak and it was leaking something, not sure what though. It was clear with a light hint of brown. It did not smell like oil and it felt really watery, but dried really fast, almost like rubbing alcohol. Anyone know what that is? We can get this for $700 OTD.

We tested the air, but it stunk really bad, so we turned it off. It was driping under the engine on the passenger side and was running down the CV shaft. I could not tell exactly where it was coming from.
