no?

Keep the ideas coming guys. Sounds like I just need to whore everything more.
As for the drama...I think that actually turns a lot of people off to the business. Let's keep that to a minimum.

For every 9 customers you treat really well, treat 1 very poorly.
That one person will raise a stink (giving you your drama) and 9 people will jump in to defend you.
A 9 to 1 ratio will give all new potential customers (reading the drama) the confidence that you are, indeed, a good business man, but this one fuck-nut is a whiny cry-baby who wants special treatment, or is just trying to sabotage you.
Ethical? No..but i bet it would work.
btw, if you decide to make me that 1 poorly treated customer, i'll expose you on national television.

Where's the link in your sig? The logo, a link?
More advertisement (the free kind.. not the paid kind.)
As others have said, I think it comes down to remembering the name when thinking about buying things. I know of your site, but only rarely went to it when I was in need of parts because I quite frankly forgot about it.

Set aside a size L t-shirt for me at the NG. I'll pimp your shop on my back

Things to do:
1. Whore products more. Everytime I get something new there is a post in general about it.
2. I might change my board name to Maximal and add a catchier banner to my sig.
3. Appears as if people haven't seen my banner so I'll make an animated gif that gets more attention. I personally hate them but if it gets people to notice them it's worth it. Plus I should be able to list more of what I offer in the banner.
4. Come out with new products. I have a list of things I want to do but just don't have the time.
5. Give away free shit. I was doing it with shirts for a while but only on orders over $200. Maybe I'll start offering pens, keychains...something like that. I was gonna order something like that to give out at the NG anyways.
Anything else?

Zent pretty much summed it up for me too...but I do think advertising and drama

are what you need more of.
Remember (unfortunatly) there is no such thing as bad publicity, drama goes a far way to spread your name. see IPO lol
Sigs, avatars, hype threads, etc. You need more exposure, because if everybody else is like me, they ignore banner ads just out of habit (I don't even *see* the damn things anymore, while some other people use adblockers).
Advertising is #1. Maximal MUST be plastered on
everything you talk about/advertise. You got a great name, use it wisely.
Maximal brakes,
Maximal exhaust..."Use your 3S engine to it's Maximal potential". "When you think 3S perfomance, think to the Max. Maximal Perfomance"
Why do you have an intro page that says 'click here to enter'? Also, I like the design of your website, but you need more photos of products on your front page, and some color would be nice.
I do think you should change your 3si user name to Maximal Performance, or Maximal Terry. If you had other employees that post on 3si, they could have simliar names/avatar/sigs.
Your sig. I love that pic, but it says
nothing about your shop, what you sell OR your logo! Free shipping? Why isn't THAT in your sig! That's awesome!
Give away free shit!
I have several ideas with this one. Have a raffle. Start a thread, offer an incentive for people to come to your site, join a mailing list...or something simliar. In exchange you will enter them into a drawing to win something
big from your shop. Set a deadline. Maybe NG? Keep hypeing the thread.
As far a freebees, don't do pens. Boring, and 3sx has that puppy down. Keychains? Nope, I don't like cheap keychains, I like MY keychain. You need to find something
unique, and perhaps automotive. A mini screwdriver? Hex wrench? Something every mechanic needs around their toolbox. Magnetic bottle opener for their toolbox?
I love your shirts, but I'd like to see your Maximal Performance T-shirts say more about what you sell...or at least a catch phrase, a business philosophy...something! Even if it IS, "Maximal Performance, your drama free 3S parts supplier.

Remember funny is good. Make something that everyone wants to wear.
And if you set a medium one asided for me I'll make sure to sport it at the NG too.

Maybe something like this will help...
http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=378560
Tomorrow I'll work on a new banner and sig. Give my sig some time so people recognize it and then change my username.
Vegas - As far as the site goes it has that "click here to enter" because i plan on changing that main site to include the powdercoating stuff...the cart in the store doesn't really allow me to list it easily. Yeah, that's something I need to get going on to. As far as more pictures of products on the homepage I might be able to do something. The cart software I use makes it sorta hard to edit stuff but I should be able to throw something up there.
I like the idea of giving out car stuff...creative.

terry, when is the last time you took your car to the track? I know there are some noobs that see that 3sx is doing stuff with their race program so they go there. If you were to run your car at the track and post about it, then you might get alittle more buisness. I know when I was doing my build I looked all over your site for anything and just couldnt find somethign I could use besides the solid motor mounts. Oh also one thing that is nice durring holidays is gift certificates that you can sell like IPS does, I know thats all I tell my friends and family to get me for xmas or my bday. That might help.

^ last year. I just need to get it tuned and I'll be going a lot more often. A couple years ago I was going once a week. My brother just bought a dedicated drag car so I'll probably be going up more now that I have someone to go with.
As for gift certificates that's something I'm working on too. The cart software I use is supposed to be coming out with a new version that has a coupon/gift certificate system built in. However it keeps getting delayed so I might just buy an add-on to make it work.

terry - personally i have delt with IPS in the past bc they had more selection on their website....i didnt know u can get a lot of stuff....i think if u would update ur website with a shitload of stuff, you would def get more interest.....i really need a good person to get parts from now bc well i refuse to buy from any shop besides u anymore....u have great service and ur an honest guy (meaning u will tell me if u couldnt get to UPS to ship something instead of the run around u get with certain "other shops"
also if u need suggestions on products i would want to see u sell let me know....i sure as hell have a lot of ideas sitting here that i was gonna attempt to get fabricated

Like I suggested on 3Si, BOV's sell well, especially because more than just 3S owners can buy them. I'll be looking to pick up an HKS SSQV soon and if ya have em on your site I'll nab them from you; I'll already be ordering the AEM UEGO as well.

At the moment I can't get hks, greddy, or blitz which is a lot of the BOV'/Boost controllers. I should have them by the end of the week though.
