I've contemplated the s&b for mine. It's already got a tune. But without exhaust mods to go with it there really isn't much it would do.

He skipped a few details. Didn't go with the leather dash, and he left out the heated seats. Looks like a manual passenger seat. No auto climate control either. :p

It looks nice, but calling it a Platinum is going too far. I really like that front end though.

I wonder what's up with the taillights? I've never seen all red. Probably aftermarket.

Yeah I noticed those things too. I do like what he was going for though. Probably didn't want to swap the harnesses he needed for everything to work. He is trying to flip a salvage title rebuild lol.

My buddies 2020 has all red tail lights? He has the blind spot monitoring as a note.

The F150 is significantly wider inside than the H3. Console arm rests for comparison.

I get that. It's just drastic seeing how different it is. For as big and bulky as the H3 is, it's still built on small Colorado bones.

I did get the console. It was the cheapest one in the country by a big margin. It was also local. About 30 minutes from the house. Not far from where I bought the truck.

Image

It's in great shape. I got just about all of the trim pieces, I got the stupidly pricey little USB hub I need for the sync swap, and they didn't cut the wiring harness. It'll bolt right in, but it's going to take some work to get the power sockets working since my truck isn't wired for them. The bigger cabs had a power point in the back of their jump seat, so they're wired out for it. :p The more easily accessible storage space and the better cup holder layout will be a welcome improvement while I get the wiring figured out.

Going from the vette to 250 is weird for sure. Even worse is the other way around. That said I still treat the vette likes it's bigger than it really is

The cupholders and storage are the main daily reasons I don't want a 6 passenger truck. Also the front center seat is all, but useless for anyone who doesn't need a car/booster seat.

I just can't get over how expensive parts for this truck can be. New or used. Like there's a plastic organizer tray for the main bin. It's not a big deal that I didn't get it with mine. New it's $75. Look at this shit. $140 after shipping for rubber inserts and a tray. https://www.ebay.com/itm/335201446406 I got my whole console, with all that rubber crap, but minus the tray, for $275 after tax! I can buy a whole system of organizers on Amazon for $20. I'm gonna need it, because that bin is cavernous.

Most of the complete consoles I was seeing were in the $500-700 range. You usually had to pay $100-150 shipping on top of that. There's a few really complete sets that include the dash vent trim. Those were $1000-1200.

Speaking of deals, you guys are gonna laugh when you see what I decided to do to get the dashboard trim pieces on the cheap.

For something they make like 800,000 of a year, it's crazy how much parts are

Yet they want us to take $0.05 of cost out of a belt that goes on them

That is why I gave up on the center console thing. Way too expensive, go gave up looking. Not worth the $800 to me.

Chris pointed out that a whole lot of that 800k is work trucks. But it's still nuts. A lot of the interior parts are shared with the Super Duty and Expedition.

It's funny about the cost cutting thing. The earlier floor shift consoles had a blue backlight under the PRNDM text. Ford got rid of that at some point, and just left the translucent lettering. Then they finally went to white painted lettering in 2019. I saw a lot of people bitching about that when I was researching the console swap.

It's even more ridiculous when you see that Ford charges for these parts. The cup holder / shifter bezel alone is $380-600 list.

I saw a surprising number of 250s when I was at the Pick n Pull the other day. It's a long shot, but I'll keep an eye out for one for you.

I'm curious how many trucks KC Assembly puts out per year. That's the only place they make the XL trim. I think they make some XLTs there too, but the majority of the XLTs and up are made in Michigan.

Even if half of the 800k is work trucks, there's still 400k/year non-work trucks. It's just mind boggling to me that there are that many F150s made every year, year over year, and they market/streets aren't only F150s

I mean they only 151,000 3Ses period, and they make that many F150s every 2.5 months

I also saw some news stories about how Ford is going to eliminate it's park assist feature because no one uses it and it's going to save them $60 per vehicle that had it previously. Mind you the active park assist feature is only available in packages they charge you thousands for....

How else are they going to buy back billions in stocks and also pay their executives billions every year?

I like the center console. That should freshen up the cab some. So who is going to use the rear cup holders? :)
