ive owned 3 miatas and i still think the hairdresser and gay jokes are funny. So does my gay friend with an NC and ND, and my other straight friend with an ND. its a fun car no matter how homo it is, shouldnt let it get to you ;)

This. I could have been much worse in my comment, I was trying to be funny. The fact that it upsets you….like you know how many of those jokes are out there, and everywhere….no matter what you do? It’s just always gonna be there.

The most fun car I've had was my '93 Eclipse GSX. I did tons of autocrossing with that, rallycross, some track days, etc. Just some basic handling upgrades (rear sway bar to reduce understeer, poly bushings), and the typical power upgrades (around 300 awhp).

There was almost always a Miata at the top of the results for autocross. Those cars are practically purpose-built for that, and very tough to beat - especially for the money.

I am too lazy to go look so did you make New Balance jokes to Jeff?

Also.. ex had an Escape.. the turbo engine felt snappy at times and she found it fun to drive. But a silly thing to argue. I find the scooter fun hah.

Escape Turbo and Focus ST had the same engine. Focus ST was way more fun to drive :)

Yup and I was from a crv. Also some escapes have the 1.5/1.6. Others have the 2.0 I’ve driven both, they are not the same.

But Aaron just likes to disagree with me. It’s all good, it doesn’t even phase me.

AP1 s2000 was the most fun car I ever had. Swift was the most fun "don't go to jail" car.

Can you compare an s2000 to like a bmw z3? I’ve driven a z3 but never the s2000.

Having been harassed to the point of contemplating suicide as a middle school kid about being gay leaves a big fucking scar so yeah it still upsets me. I'm tired of rolling over and just saying oh the bully will go away. Seriously fuck homophobic jokes.

I don't say this to diminish your trauma, because believe me, I can relate. But it wasn't any of us who put the rainbow colored Miata under your name.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

It was probably an attempt for me to take over the narrative. Honestly I'm not sure what my real goal was at the time.

Regardless of that, you asked everyone to stop. We're all supposed to be friends here, so hopefully they can respect that request.

We all go through things that make us, change us, and scar us. I’m going to say this and hope you take it to heart, fuck them. Don’t hold on to that shit.

My apologies. I would hope you know us well enough that we meant those jokes very lightly. We all randomly poke fun at each other here based off social stereotypes. Could be vapes and Birkenstock’s, New Balance shoes, cars that can only find crowds, or bastardized FCA owners like myself.

Went to lunch today and had to park next to this whale of a truck. I guess its standard issue GM truck stuff, but I couldn't help but feel like I was half the size...like exactly.
