I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

That seems like something I'd need to explain to people.

Should I get these? Lol https://lpaventure.com/products/lp-aven ... -2020-pair

You plan on rock crawling? Also those look way too expensive for what they really are.

There are some really sketchy old forest roads in the area. It's where I fucked up my control arm. Hence why I run full skids now and might upgrade to better skids down the line.

Ya they are expensive. Don't want to pay that much for something like that.

LP is always crazy expensive. Second most Subaru rock sliders are more cosmetic than functional because there isn't any way to attach them to anything strong enough to actually support the weight of the vehicle on rocks.

I was looking at how those are installed. Just a couple of bolts and put between the subframe and body. Not really secure. Lol. Would rather see if possible to do custom ones down the line that would be able to be welded in.

In other news... Apparently this is an option?

Apparently you have to modify them to fit. Still no true design for the newer ones.

Other day the wife and I were out and we saw a xt that was a little modified. Nothing crazy. But it had a nice exhaust tone. Usually I hate boxer engine exhaust but this had a nice deep tone without being obnoxious. Even Danielle liked it. I toyed with the idea of exhaust before but never really did much about it. Been thinking about it again.

Any recommendations for something deep but not obnoxiously loud I should look into?

I have the files, just nervous about doing it myself. Car is still under warranty so should be free for me. But I am also lazy and kind of want to do it myself. But if I fuck something up I am responsible to fix it.

Went out and hit some forest roads today. Nothing serious. Easy roads. Did come to a few fallen logs that I didn't trust trying to get over without a true low range or come along if I got stuck. If it had true 4wd and a low range gearbox I'd have went over them. Subaru with the cvt limits power when up against a large object so hard to crawl over. Need momentum. Logs were too big for me to trust momentum only.
