Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
Over the whole tank I'm getting about 15, which is what I expected based on my short commute. I've seen the mpg display hit 18 in sustained freeway driving, so I'd expect on longer highway trips I'd get something around 17-18.

Just think... If you dump 100k into it over the next few years you might be able to get 300k miles

Sorry, quick trip for a large client. Literally drove over in the snow in the AM, met for some BS meeting, and drove right back over just in time to put my kid to bed. Wasn't fun.

Sold the stock Sequoia wheels today, the net cost to me for the wheels was only $125, including the tire transfer.

Didn't want to keep the stock wheels, I have enough spare wheels... Hell I still have my stock VR-4 wheels.

Replaced the rear brakes and also did the steering rack bushings today. It was way harder to cut off the ends of the old bushings and way harder to push them out than videos show. My hands and arms are beat from having them above my head for such a long time.
Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
If they were hard to come out...were they bad?

I don't think they were as bad as I thought, but on my short test drive the steering is a whole lot more responsive than it was before. I hope it resolves some of the cross wind stability issues I had on the freeway.

Re: It's over... Time for a Tree
Haven't had any issues with it in the short time I've had it. Since I'm a nerd I read the manual and it says to run in 4hi for at least 10miles a month. So far every time I engage it it works just fine.
I have to say having 5 modes for the 4x4 is weird but nice. The modes are: 2hi, 4hi unlocked (AWD), 4hi locked (4x4), 4lo unlocked (AWD low range), and 4lo locked. I have yet to come up with a good use case for 4lo unlocked but it's kind of entertaining to have available.
