Re: It's finally done
Dome lights have been randomly coming on. Just a quick flash about 1 or 2 times a day while driving. Haven't noticed anything else. Wonder if it has anything to do with the door latch assembly.
Might just have to get one and see.

Re: It's finally done
I bet it is that latch. Mine gives me some issues when opening the door the lights will not always come on.

Re: It's finally done
Trying to figure out what my time is worth.
Truck needs pitman and idler arms and could use new control arm bushings. No one will do an alignment until I replace those and the tires are wearing on the edges because of it,
I can do the work, but don't want to.

Re: It's finally done
I wouldn’t do the pitman arm. Go look up what pain that is.

Said screw it and ordered a new door latch assembly from rock auto.
As for the rest of the issues, getting a couple more quotes. So far one ok quote, one ridiculous quote, and waiting on one more.

Let me know how that door latch goes. Been thinking about it.

Had a close call yesterday and would like more stopping power.
Thinking about this kit:

Not a fan of drilled rotors especially on a truck too much stress and stress leads to cracks. Go with good pads and blank rotors.

Rotors look good on it now. Might just upgrade the pads. Any recommendations?

Re: It's finally done
Turn the rotors if you just upgrade the pads.
As for pad recommendations I've used Raybestos Enhanced Hybrid pads on the Explorer and the Sequoia. I was pretty happy with them good bite and held up well when I towed with them.

Re: It's finally done
Napa actually makes some great brake pads. I put a set of the higher end ones on the XJ and was really impressed. Jeep stops much better

Re: It's finally done
Just put new solid rotors on it. They're cheap enough.
I had the z36s. Wasn't impressed. I roasted them on Germantown. Currently have performance friction and they're decent
