Haha. That’s what I keep telling myself. But at the same time I’m not good at leaving stuff alone.

I still need to get the gauges right, tint the windows, back up camera/Bluetooth receiver.

I want new valve covers, rear diff change, servo’s, tires, ball joints, adjust parking brake, brake pads, and I’m sure I’m forgetting things.

But then I can’t buy the air ride.

Just do the basic maintenance it needs. Don't do shit it doesn't need.

Yes those Corvette servos are a good idea but I wouldn't do them just because. If you're going to drop the pan might as well put them in.

Are the brakes worn? If not why change em now? Parking brake? Pull the rotors and check the shoes. I've seen far too many of them just floating around in the hat.

So when should I change the filter in the trans?

The front brakes have pretty good/deep groves in them and I would like a little more aggressive pad on them. I also use my parking brake on every vehicle, this one the adjuster is all the way tight and it’s not touching. The rear caliper bolts were so frozen I had to take it to someone else to brake loose. That’s done so now I need to pull the rotor off and adjust it inside. (How far back should I take the bolt on the external adjuster where one cable goes into two?)

Is the corvette servo too harsh? Or just nice?

I think you'll like the servo. That's one thing I would do but not just because. If I was dropping the pan I would. If you're going to do the fluid and filter now then yes, put in the servo.

You probably need parking brake shoes. They usually come apart.

Maybe I’m wrong but from reading I didn’t need to drop the pan to put in the servo? They are like 20 bucks on amazon for the correct one but they don’t seem exactly easy to install.

Yeah I was pretty sure I would put on shoes. But any idea how far back I put the adjuster? So I don’t have to take it all the way back apart next time?

Maybe not. I'm not looking that closely into it as I don't own a gm auto but I do Carly remember seeing them on the side above the pan.

If that's the case go for it.

Bought the servo, prob gonna have a trans place put it in even though so many said it’s a 30 min job and even non mechanics can do it...but I also read about people installing them wrong and the truck shifting wrong and messing stuff up.

They say it’s a totally different truck, debating on the 4th super hold but kind of feel I need better bands for it. I think I will actually go face to face to talk to the trans guy tomorrow to see about anything else I should or shouldn’t do.

Mother freaker. Not 100 miles into getting it fixed a blend door actuator went bad and drivers side is heat when the passenger side is air.

Adjusted the parking brake shoes. Took almost 2 hours but I was taking my time and trying to make it perfect. I think they are dragging a little though. Don’t quite want to take everything apart and do it again so I may make a couple short trips and see if just a hair comes off without getting everything too hot.

What a shitty design btw.

What Chris said. I haven't been impressed with Moog parts in a long time.

See what Delco offers too. They were actually the cheapest ($26) when I needed the lower ball joint for the H3. Got it on Amazon.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Agreed.

Regarding the Delco stuff I don't know who makes it for them but it is Chinese and not the same as what comes out of the factory
