I noticed that light was an option on mine as well. I thought about adding one, but I don't think I'd use it enough to justify the effort. Pretty neat idea though.
Just read the manual. You stow the belts in it in the middle of the seat. It’s easy to do. We have those same ones as well.DCIV wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:14 pmYours are exactly what I have. These ones are the like 5 way ones, but John has a smaller 3 way one in Jen's car.

Headlights have airflow, tailgates do not.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 11:38 pm yeah I just can't believe the size of the heat sink for that little LED. It makes me wonder how they cool the ones in my headlights.
the front of the headlights do, not the back side of them.aaronatstate wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:26 amHeadlights have airflow, tailgates do not.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 11:38 pm yeah I just can't believe the size of the heat sink for that little LED. It’s more my wife that seems to wanna keep them in a car seat till they are older….just not a battle I’m gonna fight yet.aaronatstate wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 2:26 amDCIV wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:14 pmYours are exactly what I have. Depends on seat. Some are 40, one we have is 45.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 1:27 pm It's better if they stay in the 5 point harness longer, just remember you can't use the LATCH system once they get to about 40lbs
I'm not saying wait until you have to move them I'm simply saying don't move at the bare minimum either. Balance a bit of extra safety with the ease of the methods. We won't be waiting for John to hit 60lbs before moving him to the booster configuration.aaronatstate wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 3:00 pmDepends on seat. We moved Austin to booster seat right before he started Kindergarten. If we’d had gone with the recommendation on the seat he’d bed in a 5 point harness till like 3rd grade (60lbs).
I'm not sure they wipe off with a damp cloth pretty easily for now. I've thought about getting a seat back protector but I'm just not a fan of adding so many things.
Yeah this is what I meant too. If we had waited for Austin to hit 60lbs it would be obnoxious.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 4:46 pmI'm not saying wait until you have to move them I'm simply saying don't move at the bare minimum either. Yeah for towing I needed the extra torque. I borderline hated having to always rev the snot out of my 5.0.vr4 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 10:04 pm???Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 7:09 pm Getting 8.3mpg towing the travel trailer, but man it's so much nicer than the old truck having to rev the snot out of it for it to do anything.
What's different about this one? You went Ecoboost?
