I noticed that light was an option on mine as well. I thought about adding one, but I don't think I'd use it enough to justify the effort. Pretty neat idea though.

yeah I just can't believe the size of the heat sink for that little LED. It makes me wonder how they cool the ones in my headlights.

Yours are exactly what I have. I was trying to see how they convert as my oldest fits the requirements.

Just read the manual. You stow the belts in it in the middle of the seat. It’s easy to do. We have those same ones as well.

Headlights have airflow, tailgates do not.

Headlights have airflow, tailgates do not.

the front of the headlights do, not the back side of them.

Here's a set of internal LED elements from a gen 13 truck. The heat sinks are substantial, but not wildly so.

It’s more my wife that seems to wanna keep them in a car seat till they are older….just not a battle I’m gonna fight yet.

It's better if they stay in the 5 point harness longer, just remember you can't use the LATCH system once they get to about 40lbs

Depends on seat. Some are 40, one we have is 45.

We moved Austin to booster seat right before he started Kindergarten. If we’d had gone with the recommendation on the seat he’d bed in a 5 point harness till like 3rd grade (60lbs).

Shes clean. How are you coping with the shoe marks on the back of your seat? Planning on some rear facing seat covers? I ended up going that route.

I'm not saying wait until you have to move them I'm simply saying don't move at the bare minimum either. Balance a bit of extra safety with the ease of the methods. We won't be waiting for John to hit 60lbs before moving him to the booster configuration.

I'm not sure they wipe off with a damp cloth pretty easily for now. I've thought about getting a seat back protector but I'm just not a fan of adding so many things.

The seat protectors aren't bad. Couple clips and they are on. They also have storage pouches, so your kid can put books, tablets, snacks, etc in it. If you are interested Amazon sells a bunch of variants.

Yeah this is what I meant too. If we had waited for Austin to hit 60lbs it would be obnoxious.

Getting 8.3mpg towing the travel trailer, but man it's so much nicer than the old truck having to rev the snot out of it for it to do anything.

That's good to hear. Hopefully all that post purchase anxiety is becoming a distant memory.

Had some real anxiety about how it was going to tow since we had some pretty decent wind but all in all it's easier towing than my old truck. There's still part of me that wishes I had gotten an F250 for these kinds of trips, but for the rest of the time I know this was the right decision. Also I'm definitely glad I made sure to get the 36 gallon tank with this kind of towing mpg

Yeah for towing I needed the extra torque. I borderline hated having to always rev the snot out of my 5.0.

It's crazy that the 2024 V6 EcoBoost has the same TQ and more power than the 7.3 Powerstroke
