If you're getting vibration only when turning I doubt it's tires. Probably something steering related.

Only on very slight turn as well. Almost not enough to change lanes. Anything more and it goes away.

Crawled under it and shook everything and didn't notice anything loose. But I might be missing something. Figure a trained mechanic would do a better job. Lol.

So figured I'd have someone balance and rotate them and check steering/suspension.

Depending on the issue I could fix it myself but I can't figure it out.

Now the question is do I take it to an independent shop or the chevy dealer...

Balance and rotate are free at any major tire shop. Rule that out first.

Got my plates today.

Finally feels official.

Goes in Monday to see if we can get the vibration figured out.

After that...? Maybe eventually fix the door latch.

Note sure what else I'll do. Probably nothing else until something breaks.

Pulled out of the driveway this morning and saw a puddle of coolant in the driveway.

Turned out to be a faulty water pump. Had the mechanic fix it.

As for the vibration they think it might be bad upper control arm bushings but asked me to take it to an alignment specialties shop to get everything balanced and looked at.

I knew it had some issues when I got it. Nothing crazy, just minor stuff.

Well, I've owned the jeep for 13 years and only 40k miles. In that time I've had to replace power steering pump, water pump, radiator, rear main seal 2x, shocks, leaf springs, numerous u joints, sye, driveshaft, catalytic converter, 2 mufflers, brake lines, 2 radios, countless sensors, wiper motor, fix leaks around the blower motor, head gasket, tires, rotors, etc., and there are still problems with it that I haven't addressed yet.

So far, since I knew truck had issues, it's been a windshield, exhaust, radio, door latch (still debate on buying another), water pump, and probably control arm bushings. Mechanic said pitman arm is a bit loose but not enough to worry about changing. Once I get the vibration done only thing I should have to potentially fix is the transmission and gov bomb. But they could also last me another 100k.

Those numbers look pretty close and you are only a couple months in. Some of those Jeep fixes were due to lifting, or modifications. Not bad for a 33 year old truck.

Sounds about right for a Jeep and 40k miles.

Not really when he's taking care of neglected/deferred repairs from the PO.

That and I didn't list everything. Alternators, starters, batteries, wires, etc as well on the jeep. Honestly that list is missing a lot. Lol.
