Followed that and was able to get it to shut off by grounding it. So question is do I splice the two wires together as per the tsb, or get a new latch assembly

Fuck it. Spliced them together. Radio shuts off now. Dome lights don't come on when the door opens. But I'm ok with that.

Mine does this sometime. Wonder if I need to splice wires.

Google PIT4758B

It's for newer ones. But will work. Basically deletes the RAP feature. Once you turn off the ignition completely everything turns off.

If you want a nice electric gauge and scanner check out my avalanche thread. I love seeing my trans temp and engine temp as the gauges can get off accurate.

Yes. The sensor is in the door latch assembly. Need to replace whole thing.

Haven't used it in awhile but from what I remember yes. I use the sensor with the torque obd2 app

that seems overly complicated for a GM product.

It's amazing how easy this thing is to work on though. I thought the jeep was easy, this is 100x easier.

That said I know the spark plugs were replaced a few years but want to see what ones are in there. Hope they are ac delco iridium but we will see.

As long as they're not champion or autolite I wouldn't worry about the brand.

I still want a new door latch, but the splice works for now.

Forgot to check the spark plugs. Will do it tomorrow if I remember.

I will say this. Driving the jeep feels like you are driving something with 150k miles on it. Driving the truck does not. Feels like it has half that.

Need to get it into a shop.

Noticed more vibration today at around 50-70 mph.

Only when I slightly turn the wheel.

Going straight and there is nothing. Going hard around bends and nothing. But gently turning and I can feel the steering wheel shake.

It has new tires so going to have them rebalanced and see if they notice anything I'm missing.

Rebalance and rotate.
