Hmm that's a good deal cheaper, but the other reason I was looking at a new torque wrench is my current one tops out at 150lb-ft and my truck has quite a few bolts with higher torque values.

Re: Oh no, what have I done...
I have an electronic torque wrench, and Ive used it maybe 3 times. Between having to make sure batteries are good, my biggest issue with it is there is no positive feedback to make you stop. Ive had it for like 6 years now and havent had it out of the box in 5 years. I like the old style click ones far more.

I bought my brownline digital like 7 years ago. Batteries are a bit of an issue but I only replace them once a year or so, I use it fairly often. It beeps, has leds, and the display when at the right torque.

I have two Brownlines. The first one fell to the floor from about 2 feet and never worked again. The second usually has dead batteries.
I use a set of nice clicker-type ones instead now. The Brownline is good when it is working.

Only the clickers here. Have some older Craftsman 3/8" and 1/2" ones that work great.
For those concerned there is a youtube video posted recently where they tested the cheap harbor freight units and found them to be very accurate. Even dropping them on the floor and testing again. Worth a look.

Re: Oh no, what have I done...
Well decided to grab one of the angle gauges from Amazon should be here tomorrow. I still might upgrade to the higher torque click type Icon branded one from harbor freight in the near future
Re: Oh no, what have I done...
Snap on tech angle here. I love it.
Unless you're going to use it monthly just go with a basic clicker. Use a breaker bar for the final angle. 45+45 is pretty easy to measure out.
Or 90/90. I can't remember after a few Jameson's.

Yeah I can't justify snap-on anything and I'm not sure what else I'd need the angle for which is why I just got the angle gauge from Amazon. I still think I want a 250ftlb torque wrench though.
Oh and it is 90/90

Re: Oh no, what have I done...
I wouldn’t even use an angle gauge for 90/90

Go both heads back on and torqued down. Wound up not using the angle gauge at all... Oh well.

Re: Oh no, what have I done...
Turbo ones cost too much. I'm planning on lifting it eventually.
