That did enter my search. But the Midgate was the choice overall. That and the avalanche can actually tow. Now really I doubt I will tow very often with it but I would like to be able to tow my car with it.
Im happy with the avalanche. Its gonna stick around for quite a while.
Just making a list of things I would like to do to the avalanche.
Drivers door window switch-its a known issue to cause my seat heater to have a mind of its own.
Tint- it sits outside. It needs tint
Gauge cluster- gas said almost empty...half tank to fill up.
Back up camera- make it easier to hook up the boat as Im almost always alone.
Remote start- yeah I love having it working at the fire hall and it being warm when I get in.
Im sure there are others but this is my short list.
Coop
Ordered the window switch today. It gets here Friday so at work Sunday I will replace it.
Ive watched YouTube video removing the door, anyone actually done it? Curious on how much force it actually takes.

300 for the remote starter installed.
70 for the tint.
Don’t know about the back up camera yet.

No? Thats a local place that does it. Its just the front two windows. I always get my vehicles front to match the factory back. Anyways, hes dont most the fire dept, and my crv that looked perfect for 8 years till I crashed it.
Its also TN, shit is cheap here.

Thats a good hookup. I just have too many cars and now think I should try it myself.

I want to as well. You watch those YouTube videos and they are so easy. But I did try and help a friend in high school. Prob cheap tint, but we thought we had it perfect...a week later bubbles. Also, I cant even get a screen protector on a phone perfect....so I dont need to do that. Lol.

So I seem to be failing at finding a spare tire. I don’t want a new one. I also don’t want to spend a whole lot, but I’m having issues even finding a spare.
Any suggestions on where to look that I might not have thought of yet?

Now to just get it up under the truck.

Fuel pump went out on the avalanche.
It threw the lean bank code a couple times but everything I read said it was vacuum leak or intake gasket.
Well, guess it was the fuel pump. Just like my blazer. Fuel pump went out in it when I had it as well.
Freaking chevy fuel pumps.

Fuel pump relay had issues in my 96 Silverado. Fuel pump itself ended up being ok, but the relay would go every so often. Left me stranded a couple of times so just carried an extra in the glove box eventually.

Buddy who had a 99 Silverado, had the fuel pump go out. Had to take the bed off to replace it too.

Prob because its easier than dropping the tank.

This is Coop we're talking about here. I'm surprised he's not planning a dual pump external system.

Very tempted too actually.

Soooo funny you say that. I was thinking of an external inline pump to just move the vehicle if this happened again.
