Yea, buying a new car year after year is not economically feasible unless its some 1 off, low production exotic. Even then its a gamble.
There’s no cheap way to drive 40-50k miles a year. I’m still trying to figure it out but it’s still cheaper than living in Philly.

Honda Fit. $18k new, 4 doors, great on gas, reliable. Buy one a couple years old and you're set. Should last you 5 years at your mileage needs. Then trade in or sell.

No..... :d isdain: 4-5 years puts me over 250k miles.... They don’t have warranties for that kind of milage. 😂

Tried that logic with the Mazda 2. Lost my ass trading that car in and there was one snow storm that gave me issues. Remember I have to be to work no matter what the conditions.

Also, no HP, no fun, not comfortable, lower crash test ratings, gas mileage isn’t *that* much better.... Again I’m at a point in my life where I can afford a nicer car and done my time with cheap junk.

Besides.... The Honda Fit anyone would want isn’t 18k ignoring the fact that no one wants a Honda Fit. 😜

Have you asked Ryan about some mudflaps for it yet? Hopefully Aaron already has that ball rolling too.

Debating taking the ones on the ST off, but I'm just going to get new ones. Already talked with CA Chris about it :ick:

First is a short throw shifter though (I threw out my old stock parts, so I can't reuse the one I have in the ST :mad :) .

I did take out my yellow led fog light bulbs, roof rack, and weather tech mats.

It started around post 33 and snowballed into Ryan trying to justify having bright red Freightliner sized mud flaps on a street car

Wants vs needs. That is the difference. You need an economical and reliable car. You want a hot rod. I get it, but you are paying for the difference. That difference is what you wont see accumulate in your bank account.

Bad weather is bad weather. You may have awd, but if the conditions are bad enough, there is no plowing your way through stopped traffic. Most organizations understand this.

Exactly. I’m finally at a point where I can afford the car I want.

I’m not living in the city nor am I get a job out by where I live that pays what I make. There’s far worse to deal with in life than commuting.
