At this point I'm just watching it for the 4K cinematography
Re: The Grand Tour
I enjoyed last season well enough, even though I thought the finale was pretty lame. I'll give them a watch.

Re: The Grand Tour
Correct, wonder if it will just be more like the American Top Gear was. Just narrations.

Re: The Grand Tour
Just watched the first episode of season 3 yesterday. Reminded me of old top gear a lot more. No over the top shenanigans and they seem to be finding their rhythm again. Still not to old top gear levels, but better than I remember GT being in a bit. Waiting to see how the rest of the season goes however.
Only part that really felt a bit off still is the obviously overly scripted conversation street thing they do.

Re: The Grand Tour
I did enjoy the first episode of the season, a lot more than the previous episodes. It was also cool to see them in Detroit, and going to places I've been before.

I watched the first episode today as well, I really do like them when they are in their groove.

I watched it yesterday. I found it very entertaining and fun to watch.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer
Is the level of bullshit you have to go through to change things in a direction you want, less than than or equal than the level of current bullshit?
Re: The Grand Tour
2nd episode is back to the formula of forced buffoonery. Not pleased.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: The Grand Tour
Was also filmed awhile ago. While they were still doing all that. Was supposed to be released last year I think. Overall I thought it was ok. Not too over the top as was towards the end of their top gear years. At least didn't seem so to me
Re: The Grand Tour
So I saw the episode they blew up his house and they keep talking about it. Surely it was gonna be distroyed anyways? Or they paid him for it? Anyone know the backstory?

He was demolishing it to build something new.

Re: The Grand Tour
I thought episodes 2 & 3 were OK. Columbia is a beautiful country though.

Re: The Grand Tour
So far, besides the obvious over the top stuff from the Columbia special, I think this is the best season yet. Still not great, but hell of a lot better than previous.
