Took the kids to the pool this weekend and saw another challenger in GoMango Orange. Also noticed the back window louver. I kind of liked it in a 90's retro way.

The only car that looks good with louvers to me is a Starion
clearly you lack class.

It looked pretty decent up close. I believe they are all ABS plastic and stuck on with adhesive strips, so not great.

She's no lightweight. Kind of wish it was mid-engine to more easily harness the power.

That's not much lighter than my F150.

Pick your poison. Back seats or a bed?

I picked option C. Aluminum and composites. My Corvette is over 1000 lbs lighter.
If I could afford THE car, it'd be one that's even lighter and does a low 10 second quarter mile.

I assume mine weighs about the same as Jeff's. So only about 700 hp (610 whp) but the power to weight ratio is probably better than the redeye I assume. I'm guessing with good traction my 0-60 and 1/4 would be a bit better than the redeye, but would be close. Right now with spinning through 2nd into 3rd I'm getting mid 4s and mid 11s respectively.

Yours is ~200 lbs lighter than mine. I think the only way Steve wins that race is with equivalent tires and the benefit of the factory drag focused launch control

I can appreciate a good lightweight. Clearly not the focus of a Challenger.

As a 800 hp land yacht owner, a front engine Vette that ways 1,200 lbs. less isn't going to find traction. Mine is spotty at best.

It looks and sounds great. But it's about 20% too big.
I can't believe the new one is even bigger. It'll be interesting to see what they do with the I6 and the resurrected Hemi.

Id be happy with just a 10% size reduction honestly. Its deceivingly small in photos, but try parking it in a garage. Its longer than my wifes 3 row SUV! . But it get it. Its a girthy muscle/touring car with all the comfort items and no attention to weight.
I would like them to bring back a revised Challenger in SRT form. A 3.0L turbocharged I6 would be about the best of all worlds.

corvettes hook up a whole HELL of a lot better than one would expect. plus hes not on PD blower so the torque hit isnt near as hard. i bet it would be a good run but my money is on the corvette

With the transmission override fixed I'm focusing my efforts on the OBDII plug. There seems to be a few options out there, but honestly they could be documented better. I purchased one off of Amazon that will get here soon, but I'm not 100% certain it will work.
I've also been 3D printing some things and a couple models came up. This one i printed, but I'm not too keen on how it attaches. It appears you thread screws right into the plastic of the connector. That sound right?

So a zip tie that stops them from plugging into it?

Honestly I've thought about that too. Downside is its easy to breach with a knife or dykes.
