Such boxes. Much Maro.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: The MARO
I know. I'm going crazy. I want to start working on it so bad. We have a garage full of parts waiting to get installed.
Basically after everything we have gets done, next step will be exhaust, then body work and paint.

I know the feeling. The gti stuff came in Thursday but I’ve been sick. I can’t even poop without getting out of breath, it’s rough.

Re: The MARO
Going Friday to pick up an all original sheet metal RS front clip. The passenger fender on ours is pretty banged up and looks like it's a base instead of RS. Missing the hole for the side markers. Even from the inside it's not there. Guessing by the work that has been done they were trying to possibly convert it on the cheap to a ss look. Guy is selling an original gas tank, both front fenders, and both front valences for $400.
Debating on picking up a rear panel while i am at it. That way has the rs holes again and gets rid of a dent in the rear. Only about $150 for one. Not sure if that is the better route or cutting out the holes again and trying to fix the dent.

If you can get a known good one do that it's way easier than fixing someone else's screw up

Re: The MARO
Not really. Mainly trying to restore back to RS with most of the look, but upgrading the rear suspension. Only thing not going back to RS will be the rear panel and a few interior bits.

radio - looks oem but has bluetooth
speakers
front fenders
gas tank
front upper and lower valences
parts still might need, but need to get on lift and wheels off to check:
front brake pads and rotors
rear drum brake kit
and depending what i find when i remove the rear diff cover - new rear end? posi? not sure yet.
Exhaust we will do probably in the spring? Not sure yet. Leaning towards borla right now.
Danielle wants to see what parts our neighbor has lying around from his 67 we might want to swap on. i know he has chrome valve covers. Might be nice to get some color/bling under the hood.
Still need to figure out the painting situation. Not sure what level we really want to do, Driver or show quality.
Also debating on pulling the engine and seeing how it looks inside. Has long tubes on it, edelbrock intake, and high performance spark plugs. Kind of wonder if there is something else they did. Almost want to pay for a dyno too. See what it really is putting down.

Good lord. It's gonna be a new car when you're done. I'm excited to see it.

I'd have done the same thing with a car like that.full car modern wiring harness with upgraded fuses - i am not jeff, just bought a new harness instead

Re: The MARO
It's a 68 Camaro. The entire wiring harness probably has less wires then the run to the rear of the cab in your truck

Re: The MARO
Main reason for the new wiring is the more we take things out the more mouse/rat shit we are finding and already found some chewed through wires. Figured fuck it, just replace it all to be on the safe side.
Re: The MARO
I 100% agree. Especially when it's such a nicely made plug and play kit with modern parts and materials. That'll be an excellent quality of life upgrade.

Don't overdo it and cause longer term issues with the arm!
