Tundra I have put about 3k on it since I picked it up. My work rig gets most of the mileage I drive anymore. I average about 15k a year in that.

Well, cable officially snapped.

Starting the process.

Probably try and finish it tomorrow.

That cable stood no chance against the great body builder of the NW.

Shows where it runs. So far it let me shift through the gears in the garage. We will see tomorrow when I drive it

It's definitely up in there. I'm surprised you were able to get it around the torque tube. Nice job.

Luckily it's pretty short and it only clips in at the transmission and by the gear shift. The one by the gear shift was a pain to reach. Hands too big to get from the top but was able to get one of those 90* bent needle pliers up around the tube and pull down on the clip to lock it in place.

So I take it this means the transmission shift repair worked?

Maybe.

Had it out today.

Was acting weird. Would not shift between sport and drive and the screen for the a/c froze and could not turn off the a/c.

Not sure about the a/c. I went and started it and everything worked. Google shows it might be a module on its way out.

As for the transmission. I think I need to adjust cable length. Was messing with it and need to move the shifter just past the mark on the shifter and it will pop into the right gear. It's like 1 off when I go from drive to neutral direction but works right from neutral to drive.

If I'm not mistaken the range selector on the side of the trans has an oval hole so you can rotate it to adjust it.

Let me know if I can help with the HVAC stuff.

Ya. That red clip slides off and you can adjust it from there. Not a high priority thing, but something I'll mess with once the weather decides to drop out of the triple digits.
