The 2 month trial license got me back into the AsBuilt options. I got my BMS reconfigured and reset successfully.

It was $12 for a year and gave me access to their beta forum and theft programming functions.

Well fuck.

Got clipped on the interstate today. Young girl had to try to dodge out of the way of another F150 that was carelessly trying to merge into her. It was just an impossible situation for her. Fortunately nobody was hurt and nobody lost control. It could have been so, so much worse. The truck really impressed me with how stable it was. Luckily all the rain and ice from yesterday was gone.

I'm almost mad this isn't worse. This is gonna be a lot of hassle and I'm not even going to get the scratch on top of my bed painted. I honestly wouldn't even file a claim, but there's a new vibration above 60, so I'm worried my axle got tweaked. Some minor PDR and a good detail would probably fix it just fine.

I think that's from my tire. It looks like my rim has some witness marks too. The black is chipped off by the fake rivet right under the N in Roadian.

There's also a long black scuff on the upper edge of my bed where I think her mirror made contact and dragged for about 2 feet.

Man that could’ve been a lot worse! Freeway accidents are super scary. Did they other F150 stop after they caused this, or did they keep on truckin (pun some what intended).

He was long gone. Probably oblivious that it even happened.

Glad you are ok.

That will come right out. Take a clean rag and spray with WD40 and rub. If anything is left step up to spraying brake cleaner on a rag and wiping. That will take the rest of it out. Do not spray diretly on paint though. Just on your rag. I would then follow up with a wash and wax of that area. Good as new.

I'm still worried about the wheel and axle. I'm going to put the spare on it this weekend and see if the vibration goes away.

Threw the spare on it today. It was rock solid up to 85 mph. I'll put the original wheel back on later and do another test. Might try to take some measurements too. Encouraging news so far.

Back on the original wheel. I think it's fine. That stretch of highway has always had a weird texture. I think between that and being amped up after the accident, I just wasn't thinking clearly.

I'm still going to get it looked at, but I don't think I'm going to complete the insurance claim.

Sounds promising for sure. And you definitely were over sensitive after the accident. So anything was going to set off alarms

Nationwide just sent me an email saying they're paying out my claim. I don't really want them to? Just based on photos I sent, they said it was ~$1500 and quoted a respray of the side of the truck. They're sending me an ETF for the difference between the estimate and my deductible. I guess I could just use it to pay for the detail shop and pocket the rest, but that doesn't seem right either. I mainly don't want this affecting my rates in the future, but I guess it's too late for that.

Dammit. I only filed the claim to begin with because I knew the other people would file with theirs. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Eh unless they said you're at fault it shouldn't impact your rates.

I'm going to talk to the body shop that fixed my Corvette after the 2x4 incident. We'll see what they say. Maybe I can find some way to work my chipped up hood into this.
