Re: Undecided next steps
You can do whatever you want with your money and make decisions on how to spend it however you want - but the words "need" and "want" are far from interchangeable and have a hugely different meaning.
People use "need" far more often than they should and quite often by doing so talk themselves into thinking they need it. Quite the downfall of the "American Dream" in fact (and I call it more of the American Nightmare than dream).

Man wants truck, buys manly truck. Man has no use for trucks. Man sells truck. Man buys new truck. What the truck?

Re: Undecided next steps
Man is shopping for very tall, uniquely American, luxury car.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Man can never have too much truck.
Unless man's name is Coop. Man did not have enough tape measure.

I have a truck and a trailer but I don't want to do any truck stuff either
Re: Undecided next steps
I have a 15’ tape measure that would not make it from one end to the other.

Re: Undecided next steps
I'm going to intentionally use a double negative here... I don't not like driving it. It's a very comfortable highway cruiser and if you keep it under 70 gets 24+mpg. That being said I'm cognoscente of where I'm going and how easy parking is going to be when we chose what vehicle were taking to go somewhere. If I know it's going to be a smaller parking situation we take the outback every time.

Re: Undecided next steps
Nope. I love driving trucks. Have owned more trucks than cars. My first ever vehicle was a truck. I just feel right in them. Don't get me wrong, the subaru was a great purchase, but I never went there thinking I "want a subaru". It was more of a thing that made sense and worked well for my needs. I WANT and LOVE having a truck.
That is why I am selling my old one and the subaru and buying a new CPO truck. As long as the dealer still has it, more than likely I will be picking it up if the prices are right either Friday or Saturday.
Re: Undecided next steps
I can sympathize. I don't drive the Ram as often now that the wife has the new Hybrid SUV, so her mileage always tops mine (30mpg vs 18 mpg), and its more comfortable and maneuverable in parking lots. I don't mind the truck though as I've spent the last 15 years driving them exclusively as work vehicles.
