I'm not sure I believe that... That'd mean your avalanche is like 10" longer than my F150

Man I'd hate to drive that in the small streets downtown here or park in any parking garage (or anywhere..).

I'm used to it now lol my new truck is easier than my old one since it's a foot shorter. Only way I'd get a HD crew cab with 8ft bed is if I need it to tow a 5th wheel or for a slide in camper.

I’m so screwed. It’s gonna be too long.

I don’t do errands in it. It’s 2k a year mileage. So I don’t care if I have to park in the middle of no where. Half the year it’s hooked up to the boat and that’s just forward and back.

I don't get it. If you never take it anywhere, what is the problem? Just leave the locomotive parked on the siding until it's needed.

It’s only a problem when the wife walks out to her car and the tire is flat and she has to get to work. Then the 3rd vehicle comes into play.

It’s also gonna suck as I take the avalanche around where the vr4 is to drop off salt for the water softener. No way this thing is gonna make that turn. The avalanche barely did. Lol.

This is austin lowers golf cart parking this thing. Gah. I’m nervous to bring it home now.

Just good info about the dual battery’s more near the end of that thread but that one guy seemed to know his stuff.

I just want to be able to jump the truck off of the other battery without getting jumper cables out when it happens. I would prefer to have a switch in the cab even.

I think all of us have suggested multiple times that he get a solar trickle charger. Or disconnect the battery when it's not driven. Or buy a $50 jump pack. But he'd rather build some Rube Goldberg shit.

The avalanche would go dead in 3 weeks if I didn’t start it. Well, just start it! Well yeah, if it were that easy for me to do then I would have done it. But it’s a couple times a year I would have to. Now this truck maybe better.

Here is what remains. I have two batteries and the second one is really never gonna be used so why not have an option for it to be used? It’s there. It might be simple. It might not. You all are my best option for figuring that out.
