Golf cart/generator

Post by DCIV »

I remember years ago there was a mower that had a pto switch to have a generator. How plausible….would it be to have the same set up on a golf cart? So it can just drive around but when storms come it can be the generator for the house? Obviously it would not auto start and would need a transfer switch and everything. Also the engines are small so it wouldn’t produce much….but it would be plenty for me. Pto, a cable throttle to set correct rpm….I feel like this is possible give. All the stupid amount of room in these things. But I can’t find any. Just too small of engine?

It was like this.

Why not for a golf cart? I could see campers using it as well. Seems like a no brainer.
