Re: Aaron!

Came around a corner and started accelerating, engine just shut off. Thought I blew an IC pipe off. Wasn't that.
I had been having issues with my ignition switch not moving with the lock cylinder so I think that's part of it. But also looked and saw there was zero fuel pressure, and the fuel pump hot wire kit fuse was destroyed. So not sure if that shorted out from the ignition switch issue or not.
Only other thing it could be I would think is it jumped time, but the timing belt is tight going from the front exhaust to the tensioner pulley, though it was a bit loose going from the intake cams to the water pump. Hans said that is not abnormal though especially after sitting for a bit.

Re: Aaron!
So I ordered a new ignition switch, and a new fuse holder for the hot wire kit.
Going to check time this weekend, and replace the fuse holder. I'll pull the ignition switch out too, but the new one isn't supposed to be here until next week. I think I can turn the current ignition switch by hand potentially, assuming the timing is OK, and probably drive it home. I had it towed to my buddies house who was only 7 miles away from where it happened, instead of the 25 miles back to my house.

I need to take apart my ignition switch and get rid of that stupid release push button. Mine has been broken for a very long time.

Re: Aaron!
Timing marks all lined up. Ignition switch screw had backed out. Gonna replace the fuel pump fuse holder. Not sure why it burnt up but there is a spot of bare wire by the crimp connector that was on there from when it was made.

No pics of ignition? Curious what I should look for.

Re: Aaron!
No. I’ll get one tomorrow. There is 1 screw that holds the ignition switch to the lock cylinder. That backed out.

Re: Aaron!
Fixed. It was the fuel pump fuse.
Coop this is the screw for the ignition switch and where it goes.
