New Daily Commuter Idea. More economy less parts changing.

Ok, so the Mrs. will likely get her new car as soon, but I've been wanting a great commuter car for work, so i dont have to stress gas prices. I would also like to visit Nor Cal more often with the family and a smaller car would be beneficial in tighter cities like San Fan.

One car that is really sticking out is the 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Nightshade. Its a 40+mpg monster, has room for the kids, area in the truck to travel, decent power and i can get it in AWD. All that for under $30k.





Anyone have experience with this generation of Toyota?

Not personally but I do like the look of the new prius and you can get those in awd too

I looked at the prius. Its a little faster, 10k+more expensive and even less passenger room. Also don't like the looks as much.

I never really looked into it. Never drove one either. Lol. Just know they recently redesigned it. Newest Toyota I ever owned was a 1990 I think.

You pretty much can't go wrong with a Corolla.

toyota makes the best shit tbh. id trust a new toyota over just about anything else

Toyota appears to be pretty solid. Only downsides appear to be its little slower accelerating at top speeds and it has some engine cabin noise. Maybe ill have to go test drive and see.

Pretty sure everything I’ve read the newer stuff Toyota is better than Honda and what not. Most of that said because Honda has really gone into cvt transmissions and had some not do hot.

Yea, i think both of them have done better than most with their CVT's, but I think Toyota still has the edge. I've read that the Corolla has an actual 1st gear integrated into their CVT that makes it nicer to drive, but not 100% sure.
