That is a lot of brown.

Thoughts on a former courtesy vehicle? It has 3900ish miles on it and apparently Ford gives it a minor warranty boost extra 6 months and 6k miles. It's also supposed to still be eligible for all rebates and finance promotions from Ford.

100% would do it. Likely driven by higher up employee of the dealership.Chris GTO TT wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 1:45 am https://www.corwinfordreno.com/new-Reno ... 81PKD82812

So fun story I used to know the GM of the Ford dealership by LMU and he told stories about the defeat devices they used to install on his courtesy vehicles so it didn't log miles. He'd put like 20k on them but they'd only show like 4-5k miles. Hence I'm skeptical.aaronatstate wrote: ↑Thu Jan 18, 2024 2:48 am100% would do it. And that sounds like a super sketch dealer than too. All of our GMs and Sales managers at the Kia dealership all had cars, and they’d all put around 1-2k on them and then swap. The GM had a Kia Borrego with the V8 that he put like 50k on lol
Kia’s was even better about them and didn’t start the warranty until it was sold new, so in that example you would’ve gotten 100k powertrain up to 150k

The Equinox the ex and I bought back in the day for her was a courtesy vehicle. Was driven by the wife of the dealership owner at the time. Had zero issues with it whatsoever.
Re: What would BAWC do...
If you're worried about mileage, see if they'll let you throw ForScan on it. There are 4 modules in my truck that report mileage. I'll bet there's more on the newer trucks. You don't even have to do anything fancy. Just run the initial scan and it'll report basic stats for all the modules on the network.

Thats a nice truck. Interesting blue and black two tone combo.
My ram was the dealers sales managers vehicle. They put 3k miles on it before i bought it.

Re: What would BAWC do...
I agree. That's a really cool color combo. No chrome
I might need to see if 21+ seats bolt into my truck. Even the cloth ones look a lot nicer than what I have.

Re: What would BAWC do...
The terrible looking cloth seats Ford used from like 04-20 were legitimately one of the primary reasons I only looked at Lariat and above trucks. The 21+ cloth looks and feels great.
Re: What would BAWC do...
I know I intentionally bought a work truck that just happens to have pretty paint, but would some textured and/or patterened cloth really have cost them that much more?

I know it says it has heated and cooled seats, but where are the buttons for them?

Re: What would BAWC do...
Yeah same it's frustrating to not be able to turn on (or off) the heated seats if I'm in reverse because the backup camera is on. It's also annoying to get to when we're using Android Auto.
