i have a tiny compressor so it cant really keep up, it really just seems like it starts a siphon and goes from there. It didnt stop when i turned the air off to give the compressor a break.

Just bought the Swan Lake version that looks identical minus being less expensive and also having a side storage tube for all those hoses.

https://www.amazon.com/SWANLAKE-Pneumat ... 73&sr=1-12

I'm hoping that my 10 gallon compressor can make quick use of the suction.

Yea, i thought that was a nice touch. Appears only 2 of them offer the tube.

Zip tie should work fine for you as well.

I still want one of those but I need the bigger one since my truck takes 8+ quarts.

For the outback i wouldnt have to get under the car at all. On the truck i at least wouldnt have to go so far under the truck. The drain plug is on the back of the pan so its basically behind the front wheel entirely.

My dfw truck. 2021 f150 5.0. They used 5w30 at the dealership here.

Explorer ST with the 3.5 EcoBoost calls for 5W30 (so does F150 with 3.5 EcoBoost).

Ford was all over the map on the 1st gen 5.0. The Track Package Mustangs call for like 5w50, but the regular Mustang and F150 5.0 get 5w20, but in other markets they call for 5w30 in the 5.0. I figure with the heat here and towing the travel trailer the 5w30 is probably a little better protect, and it seems to quiet down the motor.

I think the Mustang owners manuals said if you were going to the track you needed to swap to the 5w50 even if you didn't have the track package.

The oil extractor came in. Mine had a couple added features for stowage as well as the compressor hookup. It looks decent and took about 5-10 minutes to suck out 3/4 of the oil. Let me mention that it is VERY LOUD while it slowly sucks out the oil. It also still left about a quart of oil in my pan. Not good. Nice try, but its going back to Amazon. I can drain all my oil much quicker and not have all the extra residue mix in with my oil. No thanks.

Oh, i get that. I spent forever bending and twisting, pushing etc. There was no going further.

That is the dilemma with the straw. You are limited by the path its pointed in and you better not run into any baffles either. Luckily my sump was just under the dip stick, but what about front or rear sumps. You're screwed.

No thanks. Its going back.
