What about a suburban with a big block. They use to! Now they went diesel.

Coop
GM doesn't make a 'big block's anymore besides their current 'small blocks' make more HP and similar amounts of tq as the old big blocks
Do they still do the 502? Maybe not but be a lot cooler if they did.

Coop
If they do it's a GM Performance Parts item.

Biggest engine Chevy makes anymore is the 6.2L right? I don’t think they put the 427/7.0L in anything anymore? Either way no “big blocks” like Chris said.

Yeah I also think they stopped production on the LS7 427, but it wasn't a true big block it was a punched out small block.

I think the 8.1 is still produced under license by marine manufacturers like Mercury

Looks like they make a 6.6L V8 for their 3500 Chassis cab. Still an LS based engine though.

Well I would make gm make a big block. Then make them put it in. Burb…why….because none of this will happen. Lol.

I'd build an 07+ Escalade EXT (the Avalanche style one) around a 2500 Suburban chassis, and power it with a Duramax.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Just because GM doesn't make them new, doesn't mean you can't get a new GM Big Block...
