[quote=""DCIV""]I drive a super long truck
fire truck. I could put that thing anywhere. But man if I had that I would only wanna use it when I needed a truck, not for daily. Lots of these guys talking about daily driving. Gross.

I've driven tons of huge equipment working on the farm but yeah, daily would suck. Hell I park in parking garages here all the time that are tricky with the friggin Wrangler. Would absolutely hate to have a long truck in them. Barely got around one corner without curbing it where I parked for the marathon.
Never driven in as tight garages as we have downtown here. Nuts. Even the new'ish one by the gym is tight. Would think a southern state would build a garage that fit a truck.

Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
Been thinking about both of those.
Both same color, both crew cab 6.5, 6.0 with 4l80e.
1500hd with all the bells and whistles but almost 200k.
2500hd with ls trim but 60k less miles.
Towing capacity is almost the same, 10k and 20k. 2500hd payload is about 500 more lbs.
Is the 2500hd really worth 6k more for less mileage and true full HD frame?
1500hd is beefier than a 1500 but less than 2500hd. Basically in between frame. 1500 might have autotrac. 2500 has bigger brakes.

Not gonna lie, I fought and made fun of seat heaters for a long time. The older I get .the more I wish I had them.

I like cooled seats more than heated seats. I only use my heated seats in the RS just to get the seat to body temp, and then turn them off.

I use heated seats quite a bit. Used the cooled seats in the CTS a lot. Beth made it damn near a requirement to have heated seats in the Jeep hah.

I agree I rarely use my heated seats, but I frequently use my cooled seats. That being said the only way Ford does cooled seats in the F150 is on the top option package on the Lariat or above. Basically makes it 10k and a whole lot of other stuff I do not really want just to get cooled seats.

Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
Only use mine for about 5 min at most. Just during warm up of the car. After that they are off. Hate them but better than cold leather/vinyl on a cold morning on my bottom.
Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
I use both the heated and ventilated seats in my Ram all the time. Actually use the heat a lot in the warm months as my back gets sore on long drives. Ventilated is a must in the summer though. Game changer. Every new car from now on will have both options for the front.

Going to pursue this one a bit more. See if we can work out a deal. It's far from me,, Puyallup, just outside of Tacoma, but it's a great deal honestly and exactly what I am looking for.

Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
So what would you do?
15k for a gmt800/up to 07 f250 or 25k for a gmt900/08+ f250.
Again looking for it to last 10 years minimum.

Nope. Its cool as hell but I think 15k is what its worth. Maybe if it was quad cab.

Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
Trucks fetch a crazy premium around here too. That's the hard part. 15k truck are usually closer to the 150k miles and fairly clean. Most are retired farm or tow trucks that show their age and are still between 10-15k if you want to stay gas powered under 200k miles on them.

This is a 15k truck around here.

80k more miles and the 6.0. Pretty much what most are here.

Re: Going to need a tow/haul rig
Trying to get this one.
https://www.bendchevrolet.com/VehicleDe ... 5455409750
Problem is they will only do paperwork in person and won't ship so trying to figure out a way to get down there. My schedule is nuts right now though and don't really have any time off until Xmas.
It has an exhaust manifold leak, crappy dual exhaust, and a pinion seal leak, but other than that mechanically it's in great shape. As mentioned in shout I had a friend of my cousin who is a mechanic that lives in the area go check it out for me. Definitely was a work truck. Paint stains in bed, damaged tailgate, and some interior stains. But he said for the mileage and price and overall condition it's a great price.
But like I said, not sure how to get down there right now. About 250 miles away and I'd need my wife to come down as well so she could drive the Subaru back. But we don't have a day off together until Xmas.
