I need something stronger to remove the crud in the model A’s gas tank. Denature alcohol….e95 has done well…but it’s too costly to keep doing and takes too long.

What is the strongest thing that will eat everything EXCEPT metal?

Maybe a fluid that can get really hot that would help break it down?

Mek is pretty nasty stuff that won't eat metal I believe. I used a mek substitute to clean the inside tub of my jeep before I rhino lined it.

Yeah. We have a saying in the fire dept methyl ethal bad shit. Which is basically what that is. I might have to try it. How bad were the fumes?

Bad. Wore gloves, glasses, and a mask and did it in open area in stages. And that was just a substitute
