Never made a claims about rolling blackouts being everywhere. My initial remark/concern was for the impeding future blackouts due to increased strain on CA existing power grid. A grid that many feel isn't adequate enough.
I lived in CA during Gray Davis' term. I remember the blackouts and experienced them several times.

Your original post was CA with no power on while the surrounding states are 'fine' with Newsom on it and a comment saying "can't wait for rolling blackouts again" don't get mad when people infer things based on that. Make real comment instead of shit post memes with a clear bias.

Our biggest problem are car seats the space you need between the front seat and the back seat now is kinda ridiculous. The rear facing infant carrier barely fits in the rear seat of my parents expedition. Then if you want to take a traditional stroller (not mini umbrella stroller like for dolls) that eats up a lot of cargo space. If not for kids I might have pushed for a bolt or volt for my wife. My commute (when in the office) is so short the math for going electric doesn't really pan out. I'd also want to add a few more solar panels to not have to buy electricity from PG&E.
We still love our Volt, and it gets driven all the time. It failed because most people think it is electric only, with a 50 mile range. If they understood that you can drive forever on gas if you want (with reasonably good MPG), then they probably would've sold a lot more of them.
We took it on a trip out to Yellowstone and back and it handled that perfectly. Just keep it in "Mountain mode" and it maintains a couple bars of charge for better responsiveness and climbing power. I think our overall MPG for that trip was around 38.
I really was gonna get a volt, but got a Humvee instead. I kind of went the opposite way. Lol.

Danielle is really debating on trading in her Kia. She is struggling to trust it lately and she never got attached to it like all the other vehicles she had. Might have her look into electric or plug in hybrid. Volt blind spots was too bad for her to drive so I know she wouldn't get one.
