Well, if we do that...the Audi will need one.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer
Is the level of bullshit you have to go through to change things in a direction you want, less than than or equal than the level of current bullshit?

The final warranty refund hit my loan today. I should not ever have to talk to Shift again.
All that's left now is the sales tax credit from the state. Hoping to see that soon.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Re: The Grand Sport. Part 1: The Shift Debacle
This is hilarious. I got a letter from the finance company today. They're complaining that I didn't title the car in a timely manner.
According to their records, as of April 14, Shift had sent me everything I needed to title the car.
First of all, I only signed the final purchase agreement on April 14th. That was literally the day this all started, legally speaking.
Second of all, Shift didn't send me enough of anything to title the car, specifically so they could make sure the lender was correctly listed as the lienholder.
Besides all that, today is July 15th. I got the final title, with the correct lienholder, on June 3rd. It's been three months since this all began, and over a month since the title was completed. But they still felt the need to send me this letter.
TD Auto Finance seems to be almost as incompetent as Shift. It's no wonder they work together.

But honestly… what’s it matter? Nothing they can do? Why would they complain about that?

They're the lienholder, so they need to be noted as such on the title. And they are. It's just their timeline that's all screwed up.

My goal financially for now on is to only buy vehicles I can pay cash for. No more lienholder bull shit. Unless I can get something new with 0% like they do sometimes.
Re: The Grand Sport. Part 1: The Shift Debacle
So dumb. Call them and fill them in the the incompetence of Shift.

But no way would they cancel the loan. They are just being dicks saying it wasnt titled soon enough.

As far as I'm concerned, this is between Shift and the loan company. If Shift kept all the paper work to title the car, THEY should send proof of titling to the loan company. if there is a problem, the loan co should take it up with Shift.
This was never a task asked of us in the documentation, and they should not be bringing this to our attention.
Both companies need to get their shift together.

Got my tax refund from the state on Friday. Just a few dollars shy of 4k. My two years or less payoff goal will be easily achievable, barring any mishaps.
The debacle is finally, completely over.

This is awesome.
PS now just get Vira to start paying into it as well and you're golden in just a year.
