Had to make a visit to Home Depot last evening. Parking got tricky, so the Capo got creative.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Probably the spot in the lot most immune from cart dings.

You know what, you're probably right. I do take up most of the space. You would also be safe to adding "car dings" as well.

I showed that pic to a few of my coworkers. Many laughs were had
One guy drives a 15-ish Yaris hatchback. It's over 2 feet longer than your car. That's nuts.

Haha, glad they liked it. The guy in the back of the by his truck got a good laugh with his son as well. He was chuckling and said "thats cool man".
In case anyone was worried about side to side room as well...

Parked next to a co-worker today. Man even a moderate sized SUV looks huge.

I don't think you get to do math when parking in those spots.
His oversized truck + your 2/3 sized car != two compact cars.

Also working on a new door handle. The OEM one digs into your thigh. I was digging through some scrap parts i had lying around and came up with this solution. Not loving the design, but its functionality is better. Im open to ideas.

I like the idea. Maybe replace the metal part with some hinged D-rings. Like this, but nicer.

Or, how about this?

I like that first option. Minimalistic.
Second option isn't bad but I would still need a second tie in.

Also recently filled up and took account of the mileage.

Not upset, for how much my foot has been in the throttle.

I was gonna say that's a bit disappointing but if you've been driving it like I imagine it's not terrible.

Yea Im in boost quite a bit because the car likes to play there. Otherwise its unremarkable. The car is the most fun in the turns which I tend to take in 2nd or 3rd gear at full throttle. The car behaves like a go cart and pushes through with minimal over or under steer. Ive never had a car this predictable in the corners. Probably nothing like Jeffs Vette but its been enough to surprise me.
Also factory estimates for city are 36 and 53 hwy. Maybe one take Ill tone it down a bit and see what I get. Lol.

This is a prime example of how fun it can be to drive a slow car fast.

I would have to agree. I would have never thought a Kei car would deliver such an experience in relatively stock form.

My SVT Focus remains the best all around car I've ever owned. It was quick enough, fairly fuel efficient, very practical, a blast to drive, and I could get on it without doing zero-to-felony in under 3 seconds.
