No idea but quite a few people on svtp said they returned everything to stock but left the gauges in.

Fail.
That makes zero sense to me

I feel like there's more to this story. Like "I put everything back to stock except the gauges and..."

Whatever it is, it doesn't effect you. So probably not worth worrying about.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Of they see the gauges and assumed it's tuned, or will be tuned after the pass, so they fail it.

They can’t fail it because they think it might be or will be modified.

Let the games begin. Was able to get under it. Not a spot of rust. Washington car its whole life. Car was definitely advertised as worse than actual condition.

Hoping to get the engine and trans hung this weekend. If my rear subframe isn't bent it'll be going in too.

So why was it stripped out in the first place?

Guy sold it to the guy I bought it from with a rod knock.

That ended up being a loose driveshaft flange bolt.

Not that I can see. That was the most important thing for me. Not crashed or minor if it was. Possibly had a repaint but Ford wasn't known for having the best paint on these. Doesn't matter as I'm gonna have to paint anyways. Leaning towards comp orange as there were only 72 verts made in CO. This car will never be a collectors considering the mileage and all the original stuff is gone. Might as well make it at least look the part.

That’s cool. Might as well have fun with it. Did it come with a clean title?

I'm excited for you. This is gonna be fun.

Have you thought about doing a one-off color? Maybe something similar to comp orange, but different enough that it would be unique?

Don't get me wrong. The Comp Orange looks really good.

I'd just want to put my own spin on it if I was going to the effort and expense of a full respray.

Agreed, it does look good. But like you said, if you're gonna do a full respray, and it's not gonna be a collectors item, might as well put your own spin on it (unless you want a OE color to be your spin :lol :)

Crossed my mind. Maybe Lamborghini Arancio Argos. About the same orange/red as CO but with pearl.
