Tahoe front brakes....first I needed a 35mm socket. Then the cv bolt wouldn't come off with impact. Then that stupid star bolt sucks ass. But dropping the rotors off to get turned now.

You have to disassemble the hub for the brakes? It's not 1992 anymore

It’s a 35mm nut and in the poor light and stupid star bolt I thought it had to come off.

At least I admit my mistakes. Most make them and will not tell.

I'm not mad at you, just thought you knew that. Not a big deal, but that is a lot of extra unnecessary work.

I’ve changed dozens of brakes over the years. Never did that before, I know I will not again. I think it was because I was in such a hurry as I didn’t have much time, the snow was on the ground, and I had to get the rotors turned. So it was honestly, see bolt, take off bolt.

At least it's not a Colorado. Even the Japanese went away from captured rotors. GM? They move to them.

Local place can get these. With their warranty and everything with disposal of old tire it’s just under 1100 plus a 70 buck mail in rebate.

Hopefully putting them on Tuesday.

You go to Costco and check out prices? They usually have instant $150-200 off tires and have really good prices.

Michelin Defender LTX are the gold standard for highway tires.

You arnt wrong. Suppose to stop sooner and be amazing. But I’ve never had great luck with Michelin’s.

Odd. I've had nothing but exceptional luck. They have historically made some of the best tires and back it up.
