We really like the crossclimate 2 we have on the Soul. Night and day better than what came from the factory. Amazing in snow, slush, wet, and dry. If we ever get something similar to the Soul again or anything crossover like with AWD they will be my current go to tires.
Those look to be really good too. May have to get those the next time the Explorer needs tires.

They look weird, but honestly probably the best all around tire I have ever had.

Yeah I thought that too when I looked at them. The Goodyear's "look better" than those Michelin's lol
Really impressed with my Michelin pilot sport as4.

Maxima went from roasting the tires on a 2nd gear punch (roughly 300whp with hlsd) to mostly hooking in 1st.
The tires there were on the truck before I put new ones one lost grip from a stop and from 1st-2nd every time. Doesn't help with the tune and shift kit. The ones I put on only chirp now from 1-2. Wet roads though still break loose very easily. Bridgestone DUELER H/L ALENZA PLUS. Not the best I have had, but for the price I paid they are holding up well.

Coolant was just a hair low, went to add some. Apparently the “radiator cap” is two piece. So it separated. Still let you drive it but you couldn’t add any.

Well I go to replace that today. I had to break it apart to get it out. Man what a pain.

It's not supposed to be a 2 piece. Sounds like it was already broken

Really? Interesting. The one I got from ford looks exactly the same. Maybe the lid just snapped off and made me think it’s two piece. I’ve done coolant drain and replace and taken that cap off a good dozen times since I’ve owned if. Seemed fine then.

Turned over to 120k yesterday. I want to sell at 150k but with as little driving as I do these days that will be another 4/5 years.
Finally got around to changing the PTU or transfercase as 3/s would call it. The fluid looked good. Prob didn’t need to be changed but glad I did. Put royal purple and the weight it called for in it.

I would like to change the rear diff but YouTube videos says you have to cut off the exhaust and bunch of other stuff. Wish there was another way.

Coop
Just documenting. Changed the PTU fluid again. It’s at 126k now. So close to 30k miles.

Ha. I guess I’m putting in about 10k a year. I thought it was less.

Check engine says bad o2. What a pain to change. I knew it wasn’t with the smoke but I had to try. Changed. Exhaust smells sweet. It’s a blown head gasket.

Now I have a worthless vehicle…WHILE the Tahoe gets a new trans. So I’m down to a 04 avalanche that the purge valve makes it smell like gas and my 92 vr4.

Yeah.

Did you actually confirm the Tahoe needs a transmission, or are you just panicking?

He pulled the pan. Said I might get away with a converter. But the converter is 2400. The converter and trans is 5500. So I’m not gonna go back and redo.

So sure. Call it panicking if you want. But the thing shutters horribly. It ain’t right.

Last time we talked about it you hadn't even taken it in yet. So that's why I asked.
