What are your thoughts on a manual for a daily? I love a manual but for daily I would just prefer an automatic.

Other than that…amazing car, but 40k??? We bought my wife’s Tahoe for just 5k more.

Coop
Wouldn't be my daily, and STi has been a $40k car for a while now. I already have a good truck why would I want a broken Chevy

Another note for the price...

WRX start at $27.5k, max out mid $40k for the top of the line STi.

Tahoe’s start at $49.6k, and max out mid $80k.

Go 10yrs. Go 200k. Bet the Tahoe is worth more day in and day out.

I was just saying I feel the Tahoe is much more a vehicle than the wrx. And that’s from me even wanting a wrx. Like, I want one. But if you say a Tahoe and wrx side by side for 40k I see most people picking the Tahoe. Maybe that’s because it feels like Tahoe nation here in the south and maybe in subi nation where you are, lord knows in NC it’s subi nation.

That’s all. Didn’t mean to stir up a bunch of drama.

Except Chris has an F150, and his wife had an Outback. This is a fun car, that can serve some usefulness as well (car seats in the back etc.). If they go on a long trip they take the truck or the Outback...

"Running great" means the timing chains are about to munch the guides and he's bailing out while he still can.

Only way I'd even consider that is if he had iron clad evidence that shit was recently replaced by someone who knew what they were doing.

Of course the guides are about to bail out.

I am pretty sure i can do it myself i have the stuff to pull the engine, and from what i know its pretty easy to pull once you get the car in the 'service position'

The guide replacement kits are like $1500, as long as it doesnt need everything then the parts are like $5500

Picked it up for my long test drive this morning and I really like it, but it just seems really extravagant for a 3rd car. It needs a paint correction and ceramic coating badly though.

I also found out it has the Audi Care on it till 50k so I can get the slightly over due 40k service for free.
