Once in a blue jellybean...

I like the ring of jellybean.
It’s also a car sellers market. That’s why I unloaded the jeep. Who knew people would pay so much?

I should unload my avalanche and my other vr4. Then buy a nicer truck.

Doesn’t hurt to test waters. I listed the jeep for $10,500 and it sold for just under that. You might be surprised what you get for yours.

Re: Once in a blue jellybean...
Our Mazda is in decent shape, but it's hardly pristine. It's been parked outside the entire time we've owned it, and it's been lightly rear ended twice. There's obvious marks on the bumper. It has 75k miles. One or both front wheel bearings are making noise, and the tires are shot. We were going to take care of both of those items before the Jellybean came up. They still offered us $6700 for it. I was blown away by that.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Used car market now is insane. Which is why I am babying my car along for as long as possible even without repairing the major outstanding items.
Re: Once in a blue jellybean...
The market sucks right now. On the other hand, this is a pretty unique car. We're in an extremely good spot financially, so we're going to enjoy it.

Well, I certainly CAN throw the car up on FB marketplace for 7k and see what happens. (I think Carmax offered 6k) We have a few weeks before the Audi arrives.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer

Oh yeah it was more in regards to my own situation (and how much they offered for the Mazda).

And thanks to this thread I'm now looking at this... https://www.carmax.com/car/20944425
Re: Once in a blue jellybean...
Michigan Steve has almost that exact car. His seats are black instead of gray. I drove it last time we were in town. It's nice. I'm super jealous of the digital cluster. The massaging seats were pretty great too. I wish that was an option on the Jellybean.

Yeah I really like how Audi does their digital cluster. The one Ford has on the F150 looks goofy to me.
I've really wanted an S4 ever since I sold my Legacy, but I've always been terrified of Audi maintenance and repair costs.

I loveeee my S4, there is seriously nothing about this car that I dislike. And it sounds really mean with an intake. Other than spark plugs every 40k the service requirements arent any worse than other cars. It fits 5 comfortable, 0-60 in just over 4 seconds and gets 30mpg on road trips. Cant beat it. Thats a good price too.

[thestealth] It's not every laborador-sized mammal that gets a damned APC named after it, but the Honey Badger isn't your typical member of the Mammalia class. He's a brutal, vicious killer who kicks asses, never backs down, never registers fear, destroys everything in its path and then adorably trots off into the sunset with his prey in his teeth and the severed nutsacks of his enemies still gripped between his dagger-like claws. It's a badass animal.
