I appreciate your help. Let me walk the yard today and see how these look first. Save us both time.

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
It's up to you. I sometimes forget that you don't have the same rust concerns out there, so it might not be that bad for you to pull them.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

It actually worked out quite well. I had a credit i needed to use and the one I pulled had no rust and all the bolts were in extremely good condition. Even better than the bolts on mine. It also didn't come with the Cali EGR return crap that mine has and was failing. Double win.

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
Picture of the new manifold. No EGR and most importantly, no cracks! Installed and now my engine bay and cab are much quieter.

I do have a large crack/separation at the muffler. As if the pipe ripped itself away from the muffler. All stainless steel, so I have some hope of welding it back up.
Here is the truck. Its an early 92 with 125k miles on it. Like Jeff said it had no options other than a factory clock. If it did though I wouldnt know because the previous owner hacked this thing up.

Cab, and...trunk? Hacked cab?

Wai...t. Rear seat?

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
I wonder what those front seats are out of? Chrysler maybe? They look comfy.

Don’t know but the rear almost looks like the stock mm bench but reupholstered. Lol

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
That's definitely a stock seat.

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
Well, it looks like I might have to start driving my own rigs to work again. Been working on trying to get the Max back up to shape. She has sat for several years as I really didn't need to drive her. Then I got the Montero, so that went on insurance instead.
I've been playing around with the tune on it. I think i have the timing dialed in, but per popular opinion I have been using Maf scaling to get my 02's in check. I've been shooting for about 13-14 afrs for the low side and my high rpms in the 12s. I'm not sure If i can raise that since im not boosted. Maybe some of you tuners can shed some light. I have noticed however that with my Frankenstein intake setup my idel afr's are pretty lean (18-19). This actually makes it tough to cold start. Not sure if i should tweak the low HZ values to adjust for that, or if I should tackle cold enrichment. My chrome skills have gotten rusty.
I have also ran across a couple new sets of Tacoma wheels. These ones are identical to my Montero and are 18's with a smaller tire.

I also have these 17's with a taller tire and better tread.

Which ones do you like best?

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
I'd adjust the MAF Hz at low RPM to get your A/F closer to 14.7:1, and then see if you still need to mess with enrichment/start tables at all. You'll probably need to tackle both, as cranking is just a static pulsewidth and doesn't read the MAF to determine fuel there.

[/quote] I remember. Yea, they are my first choice as well. Might run the Montero ones for a little bit and wear them down, but I like the 1st ones myself.

Thanks for the input. Yea im a bit worried how the car will react once I richen up the lower HZ. My problem is I dont know what enrichment start tables I even need to mess with. I think there's like 5 or 6 last time I looked.
Have you messed with them yet?

Re: Mitsubishi Mighty Max
From what I found on my Stealth, it was the 2 lowest MAF HZ values that adjusted the idle AFR. My Stealth would actually run great idle AFR with the AC on (like 14.8-15.2:1), but like 17.5-18.5 with the AC off.
Turns out turning the AC on moved the MAF HZ to the next value and the corresponding airflow at that next value was significantly higher. I adjusted the lower to values to basically match that value and now it idles around that 14.8-15.2:1 all the time.
Note, this is on E85 too. And I messed around with those values for shits and grins, and got the idle AFR to like 12:1, so you're not really going to mess it up. As soon as you give it any amount of throttle and get the RPMS up, it goes out of those minimum airflow values anyway.

Huh, i wouldn't have guessed it was the two lowest values. I was too busy chasing the lower. Yea, im sitting right around 18-19 afr on idle which is fine when its warm, but cold starts make it really rough. Ill play with it some more this weekend and richen up the first two lines so i can bring down those numbers.
I don't have my AC tied into the ECU. I think because the 3s setup was a two sensor iirc. Mine is just a single wire load. Its worked fine without it so far.
Thanks Aaron, that was really helpful!

Yeah I just used EvoScan to see where the Hz values were at at idle, and adjusted those values.

Smart guy.
Still trying to figure out if I can chase 13-14 afr's on top end with an N/A motor or if I should be more conservative.

Like WOT AFRs? If so, that's a little lean...

12.5 to 13.3:1 is usually where best power is for NA on gasoline. 12.5 being safer for sure.
