Model A in good condition. Wife's grandpa and he wants to sell it. Wife's father wants to buy it. Any idea on price? How to figure it out? He was a high school mechanic teacher, it ran up until 8 yrs ago as it was technically his wifes car that passed away and he just didnt wanna touch it.
Most likely this will get put//given to me. I think it would be cool. Just need some help figuring out such an old car value.

Re: Ford model A
That's something I've got absolutely zero experience with.

One thing I hate about living in east TN is that if I go to a car meet, that they usually have at least every grocery store parking lot, in my 3/s....hardly anyone will even talk to me.
I would love to show up in this. The family doesn’t need any money. They are set. But it is a great time to sell things like this. So I see both sides. He doesn’t drive it, not gonna, and the kids want it but don’t know if they WANT it.
We will see. It might be fun.
Was it a model A or T that was in top gear that they parked in front of a hotel and the hotel staff would always move the nicest vehicle infront of the hotel. But they couldn’t figure out how to move it. So it’s apparently pretty hard.

Model A was the first Ford to use conventional driver controls, like what is standard today. Model T had different controls.

So they used the model T. And seems like the model A would be cool to have then. Prob have to tow it to the top of the hill. Lol.

Re: Ford model A
So there is a 31 Plymouth as well. The grandpa doesn’t care if I were to swap the engine or anything in it. Basically said I could take either one.
So would you take a model A that they wanted to keep original. Or 31 Plymouth coup with a rumble seat that I could modify how ever I saw fit.
I would prob put a s10 frame under it as then you get newer brakes and suspension, a fuel injected v8 with some AC. Just a nice cruiser that could handle huge pigeon forge rod runs.
