Oy.

Just heard back from the tuner.
you've got air leak issues man.. You need to check the air intake, headers/exhaust manifolds, and exhaust system itself.. you're waaay lean, up at +17%... not good... shouldn't be that lean at all...

check the air intake, make sure it's all fully connected/together, and that all clamps/bolts from air filter to throttle body are all TIGHT so no air leaks anywhere...

check the headers/exhaust manifolds and re-tighten all bolts, make sure all TIGHT so no air leaks.. make sure no cracked manifolds, gaskets all good...

check headers/exhaust manifolds connections to exhaust and the whole exhaust system itself, make sure all bolts/clamps are TIGHT so no air leaks anywhere...

Make sure all breather hoses and vacuum lines are all connected where they should be... make sure no cracked/split hoses...

Check around the intake manifold, make sure no air leaks around the intake manifold... (may need new intake manifold gasket)
Guess I'll be trying to trace this down. Not sure how much I can do with the back the way it is.

Checked exhaust clamps. Seem tight. Tightened down the intake clamps more. About all I can do right now. I'll have to get another log and see what it says.

And it is worse now. Way lean up at +18% to +20%.

Thoughts on what to do/try? Really limited with my back right now and no money to send to a mechanic since no job.

Oh and this is running lean when cruising at highway speeds ~ 60 mph and between 1700-2000 rpm.

Might clean the maf sensor and see if I can check fuel pressure tomorrow morning but not sure if I'll be able to.

Haven't done wot yet. The guy I'm using does a base tune based on steady state driving. Then adjusts for wot after initial tune. Won't do initial tune until I get the lean running down.

I got a log off a diablosport tuner. Not sure how to read it as it's just a text file?

should be .csv, you open it in excel and it divides the columns by the commas

Typically a fuel issue won't show up under part throttle unless real restricted. Vacuum leaks are worse at idle. Exhaust leaks would have to be real bad to cause an issue.

My money is on maf. Most common cause for lean conditions on gm vehicles.

Canned tune that was on the diablosport. If cleaning the maf does nothing I'm going to reset it to the factory tune, reset the ecu, drive a couple hundred miles over a couple of weeks and take readings again to see if the canned tune is messing with it.

The guy I'm using uses the canned tune as a base and then based on logs, makes a custom one using the canned as a started point match your specific vehicle.

Maybe your intake gasket is leaking and you just made it worse by messing with it?

Can your tuner get rid of the “reduced power” when it detects wheel slipping? Also can if do things for gear ratio swap?

Should I reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery and get a log again in a couple hundred miles or run the log again tonight? Does it matter?

Coop -I'll pm you the tuner details and you can ask him.

reset the ecu and give it a bit for the trims to settle.
