Today is my day in the office. During lunch I decided to run by the nearby junkyard to grab a trim piece for my sister-in-law's car. I didn't plan on looking for clusters, but on my way out I saw a truck that had just been set down today. I took a look, and it was a 2005 6.0L with a trans temp gauge. Score!
Problem was, I had NO tools. Just a small pry bar to get the trim piece for the Mazda.
These clusters are impossible to come by, so...I ran over to O'Reilly, got a small adjustable wrench and worked those damn 1/4" screws out.
I also decided to get the plug for it. How to cut the harness? Use the sharp edge on the pry bar
$30 later, I've got a cluster and I'm on my way back to work.
