Oh. The one thing you didn’t service in for the 6 months you had it only to trade it in?
This maybe More possible than I realize.

Page 4-333
The front axle control circuit consists of an electric motor which engages and disengages the front axle. The front axle actuator's motor consists of a Permanent Magnet (PM) motor, a worm gear controlled plunger, a front axle switch and an electronic control circuit all within the actuator assembly.

The front axle actuator has four circuits connected to a front axle feed circuit, front acle ground circuit, front acle control circuit, and a front axle switch circuit.

Whenever a shift to AUTO 4WD, 4HI, or 4LO is requested, the automatic transfer case control module engages the front axle by grounding the front axle control circuit though a current limiting driver.

Coop
Oh you have electric shift? It'll be difficult. I'm pretty sure if the ecu sees a fault with the front axle lock it won't let the transfer case motor engage.
My Sequoia had a torsen center diff you could lock so you could put it in 4lo, not lock the center diff and drive on pavement. Sounds like you need a different truck.
My Montero has awd mode too. Your Toyota wasn't that special.

Except for that multi thousand dollar master cylinder

This thread talks about a fuse. I’m gonna try that first.

But it also lead me to this.

So a plug and play version is out there and it doesn’t throw codes. Just more than I want to spend for the very little I would use it.

Coop
uh whut? It wasn't just service the master cylinder and booster needed to be replaced that was $1300 in parts alone. I'm not sure where the problem in not wanting to spend $3000-$4000 in parts and labor on a vehicle I wasn't overly fond of to begin with is.

Wasn't really saying it was. There are several vehicles available where you can put it into 4Lo and not lock the center diff, toyota does it a lot on their body on frame vehicles though.

No, I was saying you did all the belts and fluids and a bunch of services to the vehicle like you would keep it or sell it personally. But then you traded it in shortly after.

Just mount a winch at the top of your driveway and pull whatever vehicle gets stuck up.

Lots of people do this with boat ramps and boat houses actually. Ours doesn’t line up for that though.

Rebuild your garage so it is level with the street and haul some dirt to level off the driveway, then you don't need to bother with all this fuckery all the time.

Got a golf cart. It wouldn’t Move it. Have a 4 wheeler that would but if i lost traction it would be back. This will work and if you’re hating on me your giving someone else, greg, a break.

😜
