Yea I had a feeling you would like driving around in it more. Newer trucks are much easier to drive and versatile.
He never said he was going to be towing constantly. Just that he wanted the capability should the need arise. Also, you don’t need a truck to tow a boat. Most people don’t need a truck, yet Ford sells 800,000+ F150s a year.
Our boat would need something substantial to tow it. We did for a while with a 4 runner but had to use 4L to get it out of the water. I towed it once with my blazer and it wasn’t too happy. So while it wouldn’t need to be a truck, a v8 of suv would be about the only real long term solution. Just saying to have a truck AS LONG and big as his to not tow seems just not needed.

My parents used their 92 Explorer to tow a 22' ski boat for years and never needed 4Lo to pull it out of the water :d ontknow:

It's coop. He needs lockers, 4wd, chains, traction tires, winch, and skids to get up his driveway. Of course he needs a big truck to tow his boat.

Bet it was an auto. 4Runner wasn’t. Also I bet your ramp wasn’t very steep. Pulling a boat out of the water on a steep ramp in a 5 speed...yeah, 4L helped. It also had too big of tires for the thing so it was gutless.

Point is, you bought a very long truck for no towing. Why not the shorter one and still tow sometime but also fit places better and drive easier.

Because he bought it used, and didn't want to wait any longer :d ontknow:

It's not like it is that much longer anyway. SuperCrews come in 2 bed sizes, 5.5 foot, and 6.5 foot. It's not like it is a semi truck with an extended frame and a 30 foot sleeper on it...

It was an auto and the ramps here are very steep as the lakes here are generally in canyons.

I bought a used truck equipped very closely to how I would have ordered it new. I've previously stated the short wheel base short bed truck would be better for what I use it for, but when buying used you have to give up somethings. Besides the longer bed has come in handy on more than one occasion already. Not sure why you seem so angry about it :d ontknow:

Chris did mention all of that earlier. And it checks off most all of his boxes. Not sure why all the fuss.

Yeah it was close enough to being my ideal truck with low miles and a decent price. Even then it took me a while to commit to buying it simply because I I knew I didn't really need a truck anymore. In fact I was also trying to find a 2020 Civic Si 4 door in white when I stumbled on this truck.

Went on a camping trip this week with my parents up to the Eureka area. We took the truck as a chase vehicle so we had transportation once we got to the campsite. Just shy of 940 miles and got just shy of 19mpg.
