I assume wongs is still the local go to for tuning gm engines?

Might get a cai and tune and leave it at that. Rather save the $2k for something else.

Found a couple of sites doing sells. Can get a aFe cai for $260 (other sites are $300-375) and AR long tubes for $1500 (other sites are $1700-2000).

That is still $1750 before I pay for a tune.

Any idea what Wongs charges? I'd rather do local than a canned email tune, which look to be about $500+.

Also looking at doing a vette servo and transgo kit. Cheap parts, but looks like it might be a pain to do.

More than likely I'm going to do a tune, cai, and transmission work. The transmission stuff is to prolong the life of the one in there. It's at almost 160k now. The servo and tansgo kit will help it last longer. About $250 for pinless pistons, separator plate, servo, and kit. Only issue is that it's a long and dirty job. Not hard but a lot is done.

$250 for the intake.

$550 from wongs to dyno tune everything.

It's stuck in the street. Steve is on his way to help me get it into the driveway and confirm its the rear end. Pretty positive it is, but didn't want to put it into 4wd to get it up the driveway until he confirmed.

Ac pulley has been making noise for a while. I heard it lock up a couple times on the way home yesterday. What was more concerning was I noticed it was overheating after that.

It’s never done that before. Temp gauge has never even so much as moved past the halfway mark.

On the plus side, it's going to already cost quite a bit of money to rebuild the rear end, even if Steve has the lsd for me, so might as well spend the extra and have the transmission beefed up at a local driveline shop. That way I don't have to worry about it.
