Everyone remember Trevor from 3si, 14b then 16g, then stroker, then single? All in that red stealth?

What was his last name? I was just curious what he was doing these days.

I think Trevor got rid of his car. A buddy of mine ended up with his set up and put it in his car.

Yes I know he got rid of it. But he was into typhoons before that, I’m sure he has something now. Was just curious about what he is doing.

If I talk to Nate I can find out for sure, but for some reason I am thinking he is into Porsche's or some other "high end" car.

I’ve done ordered me a bunch of parts

I finally ordered the gt500 brakes to do that to the vr4 which I’m sure will need custom lines and some modification to dust shields and what not.

Ordered another o2 sensor for the avalanche as the Facebook group thinks I either got the wrong o2 or a faulty one.

Ordered the stuff for spark plugs, oil change, and TC change on the vr4 as well.

So basically the vr4 is going down for a year. Lol.

Viper brakes are easier from what I've found. Since they are radially mounted...

Here is the thread. https://www.3si.org/threads/gt500-14-br ... on.522332/

The brackets are SO simple, I will gladly copy them and post it if you want. I will have between 600-700 when all done.

Since we're talking about brakes, check these out. Porsche Taycan 16.5" rotor and caliper vs size 13 shoe.

I saw these things at the Chicago auto show. They're ludicrous. I think they're even bigger than what's on the Chiron.
I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Lol wow! I’ve always liked when they have two calipers as well.

Post a pic of the brackets.

Here is the bracket for the Viper caliper. Viper Calipers can be run on stock 18" wheels (with a 5mm spacer) using the 350mm EvoX rotor.

Nice Aaron, I love how it fills up the wheel. That’s one of my hopes with this. First hope is that my wheel fits. Second is that it fills up that wheel and looks good.

With slight modification to the bracket I designed, you can run GTR brakes. But that would require larger than 18" wheels as the front brakes are 380mm.

What is the cost of yours Aaron? I will be under 700. What size rotor?

Coop[/quote]

I think I had $200 getting the brackets made (T6061 Aircraft Aluminum), $500 for used calipers (though new Viper calipers from MOPAR can be had for $300 each side), ~$125 in rotors from AutoZone, $200 in pads (Carbotech AX6), and $75 in stainless lines for the front. So around $1,100 all together. My rotors are 350mm from the EvoX, like I said a few posts ago.

Not sure how you'll managed to get everything for $600-$700, since I had $600 in parts that were not the calipers :d ontknow:

I also had them powder coated, but that wasn't necessary and therefore not included in my costs.

Rockauto. Jeff helped me find the parts. That’s what it cost. I havnt figures lines yet and I did forget how much these adapter cost. So a little more. But I also had to go google what 350mm is. lol.

Ah, so you're going with reman calipers, and the cheapest rotors and pads available.

Not sure you'll see any benefit over stock brakes with good pads (blank rotors are pretty equal for the most part).

Not cheapest pads and rotors, that’s what I’m trying to get away from. But yes I bet the calipers are reman, I’ve got no problem with that.
