That's the second C8 I've seen that had the wheels jacked already.

Which is strange, because the wheels really don't look that good IMO.

These are some of the best side-by-side photos I've seen with a C7 and a C8.

I'm more into the convertible than the coupe. That's a first for me. But I still don't want one.

I think, 'Yeah, I can see the similarities from the front'. Then you get to the side view and you're like woah... Back is similar too, but wider, more complicated.

I think the C7 is just right. :d ontknow: I don't have a problem with 8 on its own, but no...no desire to upgrade.

C7 still looks better to me as a corvette. The c8 just doesn't have that corvette feel to me still. Great looking car though.

I still love my C7, but I gotta have that retractable hardtop C8.

Stillwater Motors near me is having a Corvette preview event on Valentine's Day. I guess I'm having a lunch date with my wife to look at Corvettes. Hopefully they have one in Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic. :) I'm reasonably sure that's the color I'm going to go with, but it would be nicer to see it in person first.

I don't think I've seen a gray tour car. The only ones I've seen are orange, red, dark blue and silver.

Yeah, it is supposed to be more of a pearl-metallic white color, but really not sure. I'm wondering if it is similar to the pearl white on my Spyder. They should have a paint sample piece or something at the preview to look at, at a minimum. It was a late C7 color, but I've never seen one in person. It seems to vary in shade quite a bit depending on the light and viewing angle.

They've got little car shaped paint samples on the wall of the display.

I've seen it on a Carbon 65 Edition. I think it's a little more gray than Mitsu pearl white. It's a cool color when the sun is out.

Saw it in person today, and sat in a coupe. I like it... My head was kind of close to the roof hoop in the coupe, but it was hard to tell how they had the seat set up. You couldn't reposition it, so someone may have had it set sitting up higher. Lots of gray-hair old people there. Most of them couldn't even get in or out of it without help. lol.

I think we're going with Blade Silver Metallic. My wife isn't a fan of the Elkhart Lake Blue like I am. I'm fine with silver, as long as it is metallic. Not sure if I would do the gray seats or black, or both. Hmm. I've got time to figure that out as my place in line is probably due around early winter 2021.

Wish they would've had a convertible on hand.

They made a big deal about extra leg room and extra recline angle. You'll hopefully be fine once you get into a car with everything turned on and adjustable.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'm not worried about it - there was plenty of legroom and the seat couldn't have been all the way down towards the floor. They probably raised the seat so the old f's could get in and out better. ;)

I'm excited to get mine - it is going to be a LONG wait. In the meantime, my C7 is still a total blast to drive and I smile every time I fire it up.

I've kind of lost my buzz thanks to the forum idiots. But I think it'll be fun to watch your purchase experience. I'm excited for you. :)

What type of wait?

I totally understand that. I don't hang around the various Corvette forums... There's way too much "baggage" on there where people are just resistant to change.
What type of wait?
Difficult to say with any certainty, but I'm guessing that it'll probably get built around this time in 2021. If I got it sooner than that, I'd be pleasantly surprised - though I don't really have any need to get it before April/May 2021 if it can't be here by October 2020 (which it won't be).

It's a combination of baggage, and just dumbass questions. Who's going to have a tune? Will there be such and such exhaust? How well will it handle boost?

The car isn't in private hands yet. How is anyone supposed to have a realistic answer to this shit?

Between that and obsessing over what brand of ceramic coating to use or how much oil changes are going to cost, and the unending insecurity of those people when it comes to comparisons with exotic and near-exotic (IE Porsche) brands...I've had enough.
